The Legacy of Judas: National Right to Life
Contact: Donna Ballentine, 888-888-2785
MEDIA ADVISORY, Dec. 20 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is submitted by Brian Rohrbough, President, American RTL:
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and said, "What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?" And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. So from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.
In 1981, after president Ronald Reagan agreed he would sign federal personhood legislation for the unborn, National Right to Life and their longtime attorney James Bopp actually opposed that effort claiming they supported a states' rights approach. Move forward in time a quarter century to today. Notice that NRTL and Bopp have long opposed all state personhood efforts. Demonstrated below, NRTL has continuously promoted legislation that undermines the personhood of an innocent child. In betrayal, NRTL quietly worked to oppose South Dakota's recent abortion ban referendum. Now, like a thief in the night they are circulating a recent Bopp memo to pro-life legislators and religious organizations to oppose personhood efforts in Colorado and elsewhere. NRTL is attempting to turn pro-life officials against this legitimate effort to end abortion and enforce the God-given right to life.

Written on the letterhead of Bopp's law firm, this August 7, 2007 11-page memo states, "And some have shamelessly vilified the Supreme Court justices who gave us this important victory... This is a grave injustice to these justices..." -James Bopp
"Woe to you also, lawyers! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs."
NRTL and their longtime lawyer Bopp bear witness that they approve of the justices they lobbied for, who rule to continue to slaughter the innocent. The grave injustice is against the unborn. The growing list of Christian pro-life leaders condemning the evil PBA ruling include: Judge Roy Moore Ambassador Alan Keyes (see 30-second clip) Human Life Int'l president Rev. Tom Euteneuer Notre Dame Law School Professor Charles Rice American Life League's Judie Brown Congressman Bob Dornan And many more.
And the founder of Focus on the Family also confirmed that: "Ending partial-birth abortion does not save a single human life." -Dr. James Dobson, May 2007, FocusAction.org.
James Bopp and NRTL led the partial-birth abortion fiasco that wasted fifteen years but raised for the pro-life industry a quarter-billion dollars on a PBA ban that from its very inception never had the authority to prevent a single abortion. Bopp is an Advisor to false pro-life candidate Mitt Romney and American RTL Action is now running its first 527 political TV ad on the Fox News Channel in Iowa exposing Romney.
A lot of Judases lining up to support the abomination known as Joe Isuzu Romney. Bopp, Tancredo are but two sell-outs.
It sounds like Bopp has been a wolf in the fold for some time...
BMFLR. So far, the drift of this article seems to be that NRTL is a judas to the right to life cause, which sounds preposterous on the face of it.

According to Intrade, the winner of the December 12th GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

And yet, there is Fred anti-abortion, anti-gun control, anti-big government, anti-same sex marriage.
*BUMP*
The NRTL has also been the biggest proponent of the “exceptions” of rape and incest, which are nothing more than loopholes. Plus, if you’re fighting for the rights of all preborn children, and argue that they are all God’s creations, why would you then promote any exception that would allow the killing of one child strictly because of how that child was conceived? I know this may sound extreme, but I always felt that they were somehow in cahoots with Planned Parenthood. With NRTL leading the pro-life movement, abortions have become more acceptable than what they were in 1973, and have increased over the past 35 years.

I’m not a great fan of NRTL, but it’s ludicrous to say that the Partial Birth Abortion Ban was not a positive step forward. It strongly undermined the abortionist position that any and all abortions are a constitutional right and no limitations can be imposed.
The same with the parental permission movement.
The same with the Infants born alive protection act.
The same with Reagan’s Mexico City Policy.
None of these measures went as far as we would like, but they have all helped to reverse the momentum of the Culture of Death.
I stopped donating to NRLT many years ago, because I thought there were other organizations that did the job better. But they are certainly not evil.
I think personhood is important, but I think we first need to appoint more solid SCOTUS justices and reverse Roe v. Wade. Then on to the next steps. Regretably, you can’t expect to do everything all at once. The votes aren’t there, the judges aren’t in place, congress is not yet with us strongly enough. We should do what we can, and keep pressing on all fronts.
No, if your father happened to be a rapist, then Fred says no life for you, not yours. Which in principle, makes his position the verbal if not intentional equal to: "Aboriton should be safe, legal and rare."
Seems like the NRTL is ready and willing to lead the fight against abortion in perpetuity?!?!?!?

Life begins at conceptionNOT birth. Birth is one day in the life of a person who is already nine months old. |

Sadly, this is all true.
And, tragically, most pro-lifers are oblivious to it all.
And yet, advocating "an injection that kills those who kill fetuses" (e.g. lethal injection) would be... preposterous, right? Inflict capital punishment on the unborn! And for what?
