He did not become popular by suppressing the news. That seems to be the job of the editors at Newsweek. Suppressing news that would show liberals or liberalism in a bad light is the MSM's job #1. It is how they "make a difference."
Long live Drudge.

Thank you, Matt Drudge, for making the MSM obsolete. And thank you for leading me to Free Republic in January 1998. I read the Drudge report, and then followed a link to the Free Republic.
I’ve been here since. I finally registered in March 2000.

“The story did not break in “Newsweek,” even though its reporter, Michael Isikoff, had the goods. His editors sat on his story.”
Speaks volumes about our media.

If a candidate is not going to trust the people with guns, why should we trust said candidate with the government? I like Don, already!

The story did not break in "Newsweek," even though its reporter, Michael Isikoff, had the goods. His editors sat on his story. Evan Thomas made Matt Drudge a multi-millionaire.

President Bill Clinton wagged his finger in our faces.
And he's so slimy that he can still grin at us like we're fools and bounce around in public as though he's some kind of hero.
People who feel no shame for shameful acts are not worth a rotten bean.
Those who admire the shameless are worth even less.

Obsolete Mainstream Media alert is right.
Matt Drudge, using a run of the mill PC with a dialup internet account and a single-page web site turned an entire multi-billion dollar industry on its ear, thus demonstrating the power of determination, resourcefulness and innovation coupled with productive information tools. His web site today is hardly more complicated than it was when he first started. I heard him once say on his syndicated radio that he only has one other, part time, employee.
Now it appears Matt’s greatest problem is that all his clickthrough fees come to his taxable income. No wonder he has moved to a state with no personal income tax.

I disagree with LINE 4. Lying under oath to a Grand Jury and a Federal Judge about a sexual harrassment lawsuit is hardly RIGHT WING SPIN.
and.....the relevance is hardly inconsequential as it is now accepted as fact that Bill Clinton was impeached for having a private sexual affair with Monica Lewinsky.
The POTUS's lying under oath and other "minor" details like sexual harassment and banging the 'help' are no longer even mentioned!!

Mrs Clinton, since when... putting up with a womanizer that does not even respect you, even in a position as public as the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES of America... since when that became a virtue?... especially for a woman so in tune with women's rights? Hmmmm?...
it'll never happen; unless the interviewer, wants to take a short evening walk in Ft. Marcy Park....what "($hrillary: we don't need no) freedom of the press".
