As I understand it (correct me if I’m wrong):

a) the DNC will refuse to seat the Democrat delegates from MI;

and

b) Michigan has an open ballot.

If those two things are true, I’d expect mischief makers to cross over and vote for L.Ron Paul.

By that poll, Ron Paul is way behind, so I would not worry too much.

It is a tough race between Ron Paul (4%) and Fred Thompson (4%). It can go either way.

MI is really important state, probably more important than SC this year, because of the schedule. Most likely, the race is over after MI and before SC. I expect McCain and Thompson to drop out after NH (or MI at the latest) and then it is between Romney, Huckabee and maybe Guliani.

Perhaps the most significant finding of the poll is the large pool of voters who are undecided or less than fully committed to their chosen candidate. Sixteen percent say they would vote for "uncommitted." Michigan votes of both parties will have that option, and if at least 15 percent of voters in either contest make that choice, they would send delegates who are unpledged to any candidate to the party's national convention. Another 10 percent say they are undecided. And of those who have made a pick, two out of five say they are certain they won't change their mind.

I live in Michigan and I got a computer-driven “poll” from the Huckabee folks (I suspect). First they asked, if I consider myself Pro-Life. Then they were asking questions if I would increase my likelihood of voting for Mike Huckabee, if I learned that Arkansas went from 49th to 36th in education. I forget what else, since there is zero chance that I’d vote for Mike Huckabee, nothing I learned would increase my likelihood that I’d vote for him.

Are there any Republicans still in Michigan? Granholm surely would’ve driven them all away.

I live in Michigan, and received got two seperate calls polling me, one yesterday (Friday) and one today. The first was put out by the Huckabee campaign, and today’s I surmise was put out by Ron Paul. I don’t think either one liked my answers. What was interesting was the Huckabee poll didn’t include Hunter in its list of choices, but Ron Paul’s did.

I think Other at the top of the ticket with MOE as Veep would be a hard combination to beat.

I'd vote that ticket.

The perpetual pocket veto would be the next great advancement in gridlock.
