I’m a little worried about your son. You seem to want to feminize him.

Been a while since I’ve been to a Bears game (so long that they played the Pack - and #4 wasn’t their QB), but I have talked to numerous people, not prudes either, who described similar disgusting behavior at Soldier Field as of late.
To: Glenn
That’s right. Because masculinity is first and foremost about boorish obscenity.

I get the same feeling as you when I flip through the channels on television. Our society has no class anymore.

Because masculinity is first and foremost about boorish obscenity. These may not be gentlemen, but football is not a gentleman's game, is it? Perhaps he should take his lad to some equestrian events.

Before that, he was a producer for the “CBS Evening News with Dan Rather” in Washington (1993-99), where he focused on political and investigative reporting and produced the broadcasts “Reality Check” segments with correspondent Eric Engberg. Meyer also served as Rathers anchor producer on three election night broadcasts, among other major political events.

My son and I braved frigid, remote FedEx Field to see our beloved Chicago Bears, the fallen Super Bowl champions, humiliated 24-16 by the struggling Washington Redskins.
First of all, Chicago LOST the Super Bowl to Indianapolis, so they are not "Super Bowl champions".
Second, the "struggling Washington" Redskins didn't struggle one bit whipping the pathetic Bears.
Third, if you are stupid enough to go into FedEx field to root for the Bears against the Redskins, you are lucky you made it out of Landover with only pansy sensibilities hurt.
And finally, the Redskins aren't going to miss you one bit so go ahead and stay at home. Maybe you can start driving your minivan to see soccer games instead.

A real man is the strong silent type. Not the type that acts like its his first beer and he got drunk on it.
To: Glenn
No thanks to your support of depravity at a sporting event. If thats how you want to act stay home, get as drunk as you can and yell your profanities at the TV!

You got a point there. Not like they were at the Ballet....

I think that’s in reference to their 1985 win.

I think it is kind of ironic that one of the most liberal metropolitan area in the country supports a football team with a nickname that some people consider racist.

I went shopping last night and I saw a Washington Redskin cheerleader shopping with her SO. She was pretty, she wore her redskinette jacket with sequin jean. Her hair was fashionably short but her makeup would make a drag queen blush.

Ah, the irony —
A “do your own thing”, painfully ‘tolerant’ lib is upset that his ‘perfect world’ is coarse and ugly...
Unfortunately, irony is lost on the self-righteous.....
