If history is any guide, I think its pretty clear sanctions haven’t solved much of anything, and probably generally have made things worse. I don’t think the US government should control the trading patterns of private individuals.

I don’t waste time watching Ron Paul interviews. He is a bottom feeder. I only watch interviews of the real contenders, the viable candidates.
Didn’t that NIE state that Iran stopped their nuclear program because of international pressure? If the NIE is true, it would mean sanctions have worked and are a good alternative to military action.
If Paul was President instead of Bush, there would have been no sanctions, pressure or threats of military action; a President Paul would have allowed Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Ron Paul is heading in the right direction. Rogue states might act human and decent if we they were given some respect.
