Someone needs to set up a web site that is a lifetime bulb supply calculator like the BMI Calculators. You type in your age, expected life expectancy, number of light bulbs you have, and it tells you how many you need to last the rest of your life.
Actually buying bulbs to last your lifetime might be a good investment. Almost like investing money. The price is surely to go up anyhow.
A guy wrote a book about this in the 70’s. He touted it as another way to invest. He suggested buying huge supplies of things like paper towels, light, bulbs, toilet paper, soap, kleenex, aluminum foil, and many others....things that don’t go bad over time, but will go up in price over time.
I didn’t have the space to store them then, but the investment savings would have been enormous.
