I'm glad Ron Paul kept the money. It's delightful to see people laying awake at night worrying over this puny $500 that doesn't mean diddly to a campaign that has raised $18.5M so far this quarter and will break $20 million by year end, making Ron Paul the top GOP fundraiser of the year and possibly the top Q4 fundraiser of all time. Certainly, he's broken several records already. He also now holds that all-time one-day fundraising record of $6.4 million, having snatched the title from Hitlery and Romney. Of the 55,000 who donated on the 12/16 Teaparty Moneybomb, 24,000 of them were first-time donors, indicating a strong and growing base. Ron Paul also has 80,000 Meetup grassroots organizers, far more than all the other candidates in both parties combined.
Seems to me that some people should worry less about a puny $500 donation and should worry more about getting their own candidate some money to spend.
What makes this kind of funny is how many people on this thread are supporting candidates who couldn't raise enough cash to feed their road crew most days.
Sheer envy. But then, that's just one of the ways they manage to make their own candidates looks so unattractive. A lot of FReepers avoid these candidate threads because of it.
I think the Ron Paul campaign should find some way to suck many more thousands out of those racists. $500 just isn't that impressive. Now, $50 grand would at least be worth talking about.

They are using the same smear tactics as those on the left will use in the general election to smear the republican nominee, regardless of who he is.

Two weeks out of the primary cycle. That's gotta suck being so milquetoast about things.

...so it's obvious that the two-party cartel and MSM are running scared. I was thinking the same thing, wow Ron Paul must be doing really well for all of this fuss.
