For what it's worth, Ron Paul has refused to participate in the congressional pension system and has denounced it as an unwarranted perk....I don't think Ron Paul should give money to neo-Nazis. What's this doing in Breaking News?... Michael Moore pulled one of these stunts for one of his books. I think he formed a group called "Satanists for Buchanan" and then blabbered on self-righteously that their donation was never returned.

I don't think Paul should give money to neonazis either.

Of course I don't think a candidate should accept money from them either, which is the issue.

How does that relate to not taking a pension? You're not implying he's taking money form racists and Jewhaters to replace the pension are you? I don't see the connection.

Breaking news, you have to whine to the site owners, read the thread, they put it there.

EEE was also a Katherine Harris supporter in ‘06.

He felt that the reason Harris was doing so poorly was because of the “evil GOP establishment” and not due to the fact that she was a poor (and flaky) candidate.

There was never a stupid comment by Harris that couldn’t be spun (by him) to appear as though the “evil GOP establishment” was under-cutting her.

In any of his posts, remove the words “Katherine Harris and insert “Ron Paul. It’s a perfect template for excuse-making.

There’s light years of difference between someone who had an abortion 14 years ago and has now donated to Paul’s campaign vs a current Nazi who has donated to Paul.

Personally, I don't like the idea that Paul accepted that money one bit. But, the bigger question to me would be, how likely is it that Paul & Paul's policies will be swayed toward favoring Stormfront ideology based on accepting that $500? And I'd say that the chances of that are absolutely zero, so it is not worth losing sleep over.

On the other hand, when you look at the contribution demographics of all the candidates on charts like this, it tells you a lot about the candidates and who their constituents are. This and the PAC contributions is where the serious money and serious influence peddling happens -- and this "$500 from Stormfront" is a tempest in a teapot by comparison.

Wait! Ron Paul has a bunch of supporters on Stormfront? Talk about Outsider/GSS Echo Syndrome, circa, months ago. I have a story I'm about to post--it's about this thing called the Internet.

Sorry, Pel, but I had to dive into another RONPAUL!!! thread. I may have to revert to my "Ron Paul is a punk" tagline; that is, if I'm feeling saucy.

So are you still claiming that you feel that Paul is not a racist or are you beyond that?

I don't necessarily think he's a racist or Jewhater, he's simply someone comfortable with their support.

Hungry, hit the trough with a pig, doesn't necessarily make you a pig.

Think of the many folk in KKK country who averted their eyes. That's Ron Paul. The klan was never a large group, they depended on their accepting neighbors to survive.

Not Ron Paul's problem, and he'll keep the 500 bucks thank you, every little bit helps.

A moral coward, worthy of support from the far left and bigoted right.

Unless Ron Paul supports Stormfront this has the odor of guilt by association. Paul has been in national politics for about 20 years and his interests were hard money and various other libertarian pet ideas. Suddenly we’re supposed to believe that all this time old Ron Paul had a shrine to Hitler in his closet.

Michael Medved has been one of the more prominent critics calling Paul a Nazi based on Paul’s Stormfront fanclub. Of course you can’t always choose your fans, but you certainly can choose whom you are a fan of. And back when Paul was an unknown doctor Medved was already in politics, working for the Castroite Ron Dellums. This was after Medved had been helping Hanoi implement it’s campaign of defeating America on the homefront via the Anti War rallies, of which Medved was a leader.

I’m not a Ron Paul fan, but I do find the current campaign by Medved and his comrades to smear the man to be contemptible.

Did you know Mike Huckabee mentioning Jesus Christ in a (GASP) Christmas commercial is fascism? Ron Paul said that to. Disgusting.

More than anything, this proves that either Paul has no real political skills or he isn’t serious about winning. Accepting Nazi money and not giving it back would be a sure campaign killer if, by some miracle, he gets the GOP nomination.

Why doesn’t he use this opportunity to have a Sister Souljah moment? Categorically condemn neo-Nazism and give the measly $500 to some Jewish organization - the JPFO, for example?

He has condemended neo-nazism, and he has stated his position on racism, and he did publicly state that he doesn't want the support of people like that. But when anyone gives money to Paul's campaign, that money will go to what PAUL stands for, not to the agenda of those creeps.

That 500 dollars came in long ago, before Paul even knew who that person was. The money has already been spent. If he were to give that racist guy money now, it would like giving money to go towards what Don Black supports, instead of going towards something GOOD. And it also would be like saying people who give to his campaign have control over him. That may be the case for people like Hillary, but not for Paul.

This story is old news. The only reason this is being rehashed is because Paul is doing well - he just had a 6 million dollar fund-raising day, he has been doing lots of interviews and gaining more support. So the haters and others are nervous, and the attacks are coming in...In fact, today (as is evident on this site) his haters are in full attack mode. Unfortunately for them, they have nothing on Paul personally, because he is a good man, so this is what they're throwing on the wall, to see if it will stick.

Nothing is going to be good enough for some people. Personally, I like that he hasn't been kowtowing to his detractors who are pressuring him to do what they want. They will never be satisfied, because some people (like some on this site) hate him with a passion, and they're just trying to find anything to bring him down, because he has growing support.
