From Forbes in August 2007...

Time's total paid and verified weekly circulation during the six months ended June 30 stood at 3.4 million, down 17.1% from 4.1 million during the same period last year following a reduction in January in the magazine's rate base. Newsweek's circulation stood at 3.1 million, virtually unchanged from a year earlier.

I worked for IBM Corp on the Curtis Publishing Account in the late 60’s when Post Magazine had 7 million subscribers. . . how times have changed. I’d be ashamed for anyone to see me read the garbage put out by both Time / Newsweek. I can find all their propaganda on the tube which I also eschew.

“Time advised Mr Krauthammer that, ‘We’re sinking fast by the head, and there are only a deck chairs left, sir. I’m sorry, but we’ve had to make some hard choices.’”

Asked if he would have preferred to stay with the [titanic] magazine, Mr. Krauthammer, a Pulitzer Prize winner who writes a regular column for The Washington Post, suggested there wasn’t much of a choice. “It’s a hypothetical that didn’t arise,” he said.

Nobody reads it. They are laying off staff by the dozens. They give the thing away by the hundreds of thousands, so I suspect their circulation is even lower than reported. The are ripping off their advertisers and circling the drain. Where is Dr. Raol’s “Bias = Layoffs” sign?

In conjunction with another post:

"Time's total...weekly circulation during the six months ended June 30 stood at 3.4 million, down 17.1%...Newsweek's circulation stood at 3.1 million..."

Would that make the number of dentist's offices in the US about 3.2 / 3.4 million - or do they share?
