I have no problem with swift and decisive action against aggressors who would subjugate us as a free people. Ron Paul does not hesitate in the least in stating that our actions in WWII were justified. As for the the examples from history you give, they deserve further study as to the circumstances as well as the accuracy of your perceptions. Do you think Dr. Paul would be opposed to our actions under the circumstances? As far as I know he has said little if anything about Muslim Barbary Pirates.

No. Paul promotes the maximum individual liberty to the point of infringements upon the rights of other humans, no further. Paul requires personal responsibility for personal actions and directives given under color of law, with consideration for legitimate mental illness.
