DENVER(AP) --- Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo says he will make a "major announcement" Thursday about his long-shot campaign but did not say what it would be.
Tancredo, a congressman representing the southern Denver suburbs, scheduled a news conference in Des Moines.
Tancredo has consistently polled at the back of the seven-person GOP field. He has based his campaign on opposition to illegal immigration, running television ads that link lax border security to terrorist attacks, rape and other crimes.

I dont think so. It's all about money. If not Hunter then who do you think will drop out next?

The problem with MCain being anywhere on any ticket of in any administration is his ego. He will undermine any administration he is in and when he is fired he will rat on them for publicity.Well, that is a problem, but not the greatest IMHO. In any event, I'm beginning to see where this campaign cycle could get to a brokered convention. I hope not, but it could be.

Tancredos close friend, Rep. Steve King, passed over his colleague and threw his support behind Fred Thompson this week. King and Tancredo have worked closely on immigration and many in Iowa thought King would not endorse as long as Tancredo was in the race.
That's a VERY interesting excerpt you posted. Links nicely with the "more surprises to come" comments Fred made after getting King's endorsement.

If he doesn't drop out and endorse Hunter, I'll lose a lot of respect for himJohn Cox has more potential than Duncan Hunter. At least he's run a business.

I predict Hunter will be the next one out after Tancredo. I'm with pissant on this one. Hunter appears to be prepared to go the whole distance even if he finished dead last in every state. I'd say Ron Paul will as well.
Most "vanity candidates" do.

Most likely Tancredo will drop out and announce he will be running for Allard’s spot in the Senate...

McCain's media "maverick" stunts during the Bush administration have only managed to make him look disloyal. He's dead weight now.

So has Hunter. His own law practice. And Hunter was chairmen of the Armed services committee, with a larger budget than ANY state or city run by the supposed ‘executives’ in this race.

So I guess if Hunter does at some point drop out and support Fred you’ll say it didn’t happen?

Fred will drop out first. And he WON’T endorse Hunter. And that tells you all you need to know about Fred.

Most "vanity candidates" do.Well, while I agree with that definition of Ron Paul, I don't see it applying to Hunter. I see him, like Tancredo, staying in for the chance to broker their beliefs. Tancredo, being a one-issue candidate, is the natural 'first-one-to-go'. But Hunter will not be that long behind him. He MAY make it to New Hampshire. But after that? Huh.

As if military leadership isn't a huge qualification for Commander in Chief?
Not to mention Hunter's legal practice...
