NEW YORK Russian President Vladimir Putin was named the Time magazine "Person of the Year."
Richard Stengel, Time's managing editor, said the 2007 honor went to the Russian leader "for an extraordinary feat of leadership in taking a country that was in chaos and bringing it stability."
Others in the running for the honor included Nobel Prize-winner Al Gore and author J.K. Rowling

A KGB stooge, the best Time could do ... oh for those good old heady days of the Soviet Union when Time thought they would conquer America — Communism would rule the world. Now that challenge is passed to alGore and glowbull warming.
My guy, Gen David Petraeus, a great America. He has done the impossible, through hard work, brains, guts, and the American troopers.
You lose Dingy, you are the loser. Never ever bet against America.

The opposition candidate has been “confined” in a mental hospital; kasparov was arrested just for protesting in the street.
This mutt is worse than Chavez.
The lefties never met a commie/marxist they didn’t adore.

No surprise here.....Time Magazine is the modern day Pravda. For many years they have been hawking and crowing the Communist Party line. Bottom line, don’t buy their crap.

Final, the people at Time, must not read the newspapers. It is staggering that they would nominate someone who probably ordered the death of that reporter covering his government.

The American Left never forgave the US for destroying the Soviet Union in particular and Communism in general.
Now, the American Left got the chance to show their allegiance to a resurrected communist power by appreciating the “good things” Putin accomplished.

Just to drive another stake in the heart of this worthless magazine, I propose that Free Republic releases a statement naming General Petraeus "Person of the Year" and then sends Kristinn out to do the TV circuit announcing Free Republic's pick.

NEW YORK Russian President Vladimir Putin was named the Time magazine "Person of the Year." Stalin and Mao were not available and Castro is too sick.

The self-loathing at Time must indeed be great to name the top thug in the food chain of Russia as their ideal. Maybe it was those shirtless pix of Vlad fishing at his retreat that appealed to the nancy boys at Time. There is no doubt in my mind that the person of the year is General David Petraeus.

Adolf Hitler did the same thing for Germany and got the same award. Good company to be in, but appropriate.
