Just checking in as I do every day, mostly without posting, but always thankful for the canteeners and the troops.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. Our tree (a real one of course) is up, the wreath is on the door, all the Riders are present or accounted for, the barn cats have free access to the fireplace hearth, the dogs and horses are warm and comfortable and our Christmas dinner is planned-ham, grits, sweet potato, green beans and apple pie. We will go to church on Christmas eve, sing (badly), pray hard and party hearty afterwards. We thank God for our country, our friends and family and all the blessings we have been given.
