Many people here in Japan--darned good allies and pro-US types to begin with--feel somewhat betrayed and think Bush/Condi are for sure walking into a trap. For no good reason.It seems most of us here agree with that assessment. The real question then becomes--What is driving this phoney baloney blue-sky bullsh*t from the Administration? The NoKo's are transparent and Bush and Condi are not idiots. They have to be able to see these vermin for what they really are.
There is something going on at another level.
