He’d be no worse on paper except John McCain’s crazy. He’s also older than Reagan when he was elected.
Lieberman should become a Republican. I still will not support McCain he is too old and he is a nut. I am going with Mitt/Thompson/Hunter. A ticket with any of those three is fine with me.
This is payback for Chris Dodd’s lack of support for Lieberman in the last Senate race.

I don’t think anyone would give a definitive answer just yet. after the primary however....
The only candidate that I think would accept VP would be Thompson. McCain would accept SecDef only. Rudy is to volatile, and that whole baggage with his girlfriend, now wife.
The others, Mitt, Duncan, Huckabee, may be viable as Prez the next go around, eight years later. Why be a warm bucket of spit?

I would not be surprised if my senator from Pennsylvania endorses Hillary. And I am not talking about Bob Casey...lol.
Liberman got kicked out of his own party for supporting the war.
There is no “mediation” with the far Left. They are the same agitators who opposed the war in Vietnam because, as Jane Fonda made it perfectly CLEAR, they wanted the Communists to win. They were decidedly pro-Communist.
These same Communists even protested against the US going to war against Nazi Germany until Hitler betrayed their beloved Stalin. They aren’t anti-fascist. They are pro-socialist.

No child left behind was meant to inject ACADEMIC TESTING AND REMEDIATION into the public schools. It also was meant to have vouchers. It did inject testing which was badly, badly needed, but the tests ARE NOT FEDERALLY CHOSEN TESTS BUT LOCALLY CHOSEN. Vouchers got in there but they had to be public school vouchers not private school or Kennedy would have stopped everything dead in its tracks. It was modeled on what Bush did in Texas by injecting ACADEMIC TESTING AND REMEDIATION into the public schools. To call it socialism is stupid. Look up socialism in the dictionary.
Medicare expansion was to provide drugs before people got so sick they required radical and expensive treatments. Nothing about Medicare is perfect or as it should be and it would have been best if never started. But to deny drugs while continuing to fund the radical and expensive treatments that become necessary because drugs weren’t used when needed, would be the most stupid Medicare of all.
Americorps is voluntary. I don’t mean that money isn’t spent on the program. I mean it asks for people to help others domestically if they chose to do so. It doesn’t impose itself on me. It isn’t any more socialist than a state or local program that does the same thing. I would take a look at how the program is managed and how effective it is before I judged it. But that’s just me.
Bush’s spending targets were met by the Congressional Republicans. Look it up. That’s why he didn’t veto. He has a much better record than given credit for when you combine his spending targets with his growing economy due to tax cuts. The deficit has gone down a staggering amount and far more than anybody dared hope. It has fallen like a rock. True the debt has increased but is shrinking compared to the size of our economy and budget.
The PA and PLO is not Hamas led. I don’t support any of the Palestinians or their leaders. But it is Fatah, not Hamas, that is leading the PA. Fatah and Hamas are at each others throats and have had several pitched battles between them.
“More socialsim”? Isn’t that redundant by your standards? Everything is socialism if you don’t like it, apparently. Not to mention very ill defined to just accuse Bush of “more socialism”. It’s almost put in very childish terms.
I support Duncan Hunter. Reluctantly I would support Fred Thompson. The only way I would vote for any of the others would be to stop Hillary or the Democrats including Obama, Edwards etc from literally destroying this nation virtually overnight.
But I think a lot of the stuff flung about concerning President Bush - imperfect as he is - is utter hogwash.
The more I hear the rest of the morons talk, McCain may get my vote as well.

I have to be honest. My first reaction to your post was:
"The McLaughlin Group is STILL ON??" Seriously, I thought that show went off the air ten years ago!
To answer your question, I've always thought the Republicans have been too gloomy about their presidential prospects for this coming year. 50% of the population detests Hilary, leaving her no margin for error against a decent candidate. And Obama is a completely untested, ultra left-wing media creation. I can't see either one of them beating any of the GOP candidates, with the possible exceptions of Huckabee and Ron Paul.

Let me preface this by saying I would NEVER vote for Sen. McCain because he is pro-amnesty, a liberal media suck-up, and has betrayed conservatives time and time again. I would also add that Sen. Lieberman is still a liberal - one that is strong on defense, but a liberal nonetheless. RELATIVE to the rest of the Democratic party, however, Sen. Lieberman is downright conservative and deserves tremendous credit for being willing to support a Republican for President.
Now that being said, POLITICALLY-speaking I disagree with most of the posts I have seen; The Dems will nominate the polarizing Hildebeast or the empty suit Obama; If the Republicans were to nominate the “manifestly unqualified” (and equally pro-amnesty, big tax and spending) Governor Huckabee, I think that a McCain/Lieberman ticket does indeed have a legitimate chance of winning. True conservatives, of course, will be the losers no matter what happens; However I think that a McCain/Lieberman ticket running as an Independent Third Party “National Unity” ticket would definitely be formidable under the right circumstances depending on the major party nominees;
