Living in Connecticut I have seen LIEberman use this same tactic of trying to play both ends against the middle in order to appeal to everyone for many years. He wets his finger and sticks in he political wind to see where he stands on an issue to deceive people into believing he thinks like them when in fact he retains his socialist viewpoint.
