Wonder what the Mormon Church thought of that.

This is the problem I have with Mormon’s like Gordon Smith or Harry Reid, there is no deep personal conviction. There is no personal walk with Jesus so they become pragmatists in politics.

Explain how Huckabee, Clinton, Gore and Baptist politicians are different. Fill in any other religion and you can find people wearing there religion only as a figleaf.

Duncan Hunter definitely is different, but is he going to overtake the Huckster?

Fred needs to aim at the front runner, not the 4th place candidate.

Very true of most Mormons. In fact, LDS Church leaders have strongly discouraged "having a personal relationship" with Christ. I guess they're afraid that those members might realize that Jesus is all they really need.
