How is Mitt doing holding up to the little fat guy?

I thought Fred did extremely well. Brushed the little guy aside like a pesky mosquito.

He is doing quite well until now. He managed to counter Tim's tactic of constantly interrupting but Timmy is becoming more aggressive. Tim is determined to convince Republicans that Mitt is dishonest. His fangs are bared now.

Good answer by Mitt on health care. States should be allowed to determine what their own plans need to be.

Mitt's doing well. More real and natural than we usually see. He's reframing most of Tim's questions, and Tim did not attempt to stifle as much as he usually does. Mitt was able to explain the why's and wherefores of some earlier votes and positions. He accomplished it to my satisfaction.

For example, one anti-gun measure (assault weapons) had NRA support. Another example; fees (taxes)for interstate exit advertisements for restaurants and gas were raised dramatically from $200 a year.

Unless Fred lights up, Mitt's the best.

Best moment; the tears in his eyes recalling the news in '76 that Mormons had dropped their prejudice against blacks. Coupled with his civil rights history --and his father's--this exchange was as sincere as any I've ever seen from a politiciam. He said he was driving when he heard the news report, pulled off the road and wept. No acting, imho.
