The Old Man has never forgiven Mark Furman for making a similar remark about ‘only cops should have guns.’
He has guns and he intends to keep them.

Like it or not, appearances matter. Energy matters.
My wife is as conservative as they come. She was just stating a fact.
Fred is going to have to deal with it.

Well, if Mitt gets the nomination, I will NOT tell the Old Man about the alleged remark about guns.
He might not even vote for him.

LOL. Jane Harman just said that the CIA is pretty good at keeping secrets. What a howler that is.

It’s not deep thought but it is important and a lot of people are saying the same thing. Many of us like Fred but with as many shallow voters out there as there are appearances can not be taken for granted.

There is no question that Russert’s goal is to torpedo the GOP, and today is Romney’s turn for the hour of a thousand knives. Twenty minutes into the interview, Russert has covered religion, religion, religion, religion, abortion, and embryonic stem cell research.

I believe that Fred did not want to be on the Delaware ballot for some reason. Not to be rude, but that is the scariest comment about Fred, and his campaign I have ever heard!
I am sorry, but if you are running for the President of the United States that is ALL the states, not just the ones that you will "look good in". WOW, that makes a statement that I don't think I like. Had he been on the ballot in Delaware, and he lost, it wouldn't be that big of a deal because, after all, it is Delaware. But for him to not even compete because he might loose is pathetic, and terrible campaign strategy. Now the story won't be Fred places last in Delaware (big deal) but Fred was afraid to compete in Delaware.
If I were them, I would stick with the story that it was just a campaign snafu.

Fred has looked like that since he was 30, I think.
But it doesn’t seem to turn off most wimmen. Your wife just needs to get to know him better.
(not too well, of course)

There is a plus to Fred’s looks. He’s big, he has a commanding presence and a deep voice.
He looks presidential.

Like we are not being invaded and are not at war for our existence.

LOL. Jane Harman just said that the CIA is pretty good at keeping secrets. What a howler that is. Hey Jane, on this one I think we'd like to manage for zero defects.
To: GOPGuide
Well, I don't know about that. I think it is pretty clear that Hunter and Tancredo probably won't get the nomination and Rudy and Huck are terrible on the illegal immigration issue. So that leaves Mitt and Fred who have said similar things on it:
Thompson on a path to citizenship:
[B]ecause we allowed ourselves to wait until we woke up one day and found 12 million illegals here, theres no easy solution. And I think that you have to realize that youre either going to drive 12 million people underground permanently, which is not a good solution. Youre going to get them all together and get them out of the country, which is not going to happen. Or youre going to have to, in some way, work out a deal where they can have some aspirations of citizenship, but not make it so easy that its unfair to the people waiting in line and abiding by the law. (Fox News Hannity & Colmes, 4/3/07)
Right now Mitt is the one leading in some early primary states or in second place behind Huck.

HI Nautinurse, I am reading Douglas Brinkley's The Great Deluge, and preparing my review for Amazon. What a partisan hack he is. I am using your live threads for reference. They are a treasure. I bet Brinkley has never even heard of them, much less looked at them.

I used to respect Harman, but I am guessing the law was laid down to her when Piglosi took over.

I remember O’Rielly mentioning about a month ago that he thinks Fred will come on The Factor. To this date, that hasn’t happend yet. That might be a reason Bill is not paying attention to Fred. Bill thinks his show is the top notch, and people who don’t go on his show, don’t deserve his time.
