RUDY THE 'IMPERFECT' (betcha Rooty's itchin' to pardon yes-man Kerik into the Homeland job)
NY POST ^ | December 15, 2007 | CARL CAMPANILE

Posted on 12/15/2007 10:04:09 AM PST by Liz

Giuliani admits his personal faults in a major speech today....according to excerpts released by his campaign. The thrice-married ex-mayor will say, "If you are looking for perfection, you are not going to find it in me." Giuliani's speech comes on the heels of unflattering media coverage......Team Rudy selected Florida for his address because the state's Jan. 29 primary is considered his "firewall" should he lose several early-voting states.

Giuliani's memory is undergoing an Extreme Makeover but he's still deaf, dumb and blind.

He ran around NYC like a chicken with his head cutoff, grabbing guns, worshipping abortion, indulging himself with mistresses (soaking taxpayers for the expenses), surrounding hmself with crooks and lowlifes like Kerik, assorted child predators, and other losers, kicking out people like Chief Bratton who dared to stand in Rooty's spotlight........and now he expects voters to forget all that.

Sure Rutsy he had lousy judgement as mayor---but according to him, he is suddenly trustworthy enough to sit at the levers of the federal government.

Course Rooty's global businesses stand to profit mightily if he and his handlers ever get their greedy hands on the federal budget.

That pardon pen of Rooty's would be working overtime---- Rooty's itchin' to pardon Kerik b/c Kerik is Tooty's obedient yes-man. Rooty wants Kerik in the Homeland job awful bad.

Sorry, Rooty.......get yourself another life.

Add me to the list of imperfect people, but why must we set the bar so low as Rudy?

If Rudy should ever be the nominee, what you will see from the MSM is....

How many terrorist attacks has he stopped?? Then they will point out (rightly so) Here is a guy that has promised the Christian right he will appoint judges that disagree with his core belief system. Here is a guy that will say or do anything to get your vote.

What is your obsession, here? I know people on his campaign less obsessed with him than you are. It’s not like there are any Rudy supporters left here, anyway, so your obsession with him must lie elsewhere.

What is it like to carry all that hate around? It must make you a miserable person. If you just posted an article or two, I wouldn’t think much of it, but damn. This is my publicly thanking God I didn’t have to endure whatever made you so negative and hateful.

People in LA love Bratton.

As Rooty's appointee, Bratton's only "crime" in NYC was standing in egomaniacal Rooty's spotlight.

Bratton got the credit for reducing crime, got lionized by the media and was on the beautiful people's party A-list.

Rooty was incensed and unceremoniously dumped him

BEST OF ENEMIES: Mayor Giuliani and William Bratton at a press conference
in 1996 as Rudy announced Bratton's "resignation" as police commissioner.

RUDY: "Get outta here Bratton---nobody but nobody steals Giuliani's limelight."

BRATTON: "If I ever stop smiling, I'm gonna kill this SOB."

Good point.

With all the talk about Rooty running around porking his mistress on the taxpayers' dime, you wonder if he didn't miss pre-911 warnings while he was deep in the throes of his sexual urges.

The WTC had already been attacked once before, yet Rooty put the city's emergency response center in this terror target....which was right around the corner from his mistress' residence.

Election 2008: Florida Republican Primary
Florida: Huckabee 27% Romney 23% Giuliani 19%

Rudy Giuliani’s plan was to accept defeats in the early states and come back strong on January 29 in Florida and in many large states on February 5. The latest Rasmussen Reports polling in the state of Florida suggests that Giuliani might need to work on a 'Plan B.' Mike Huckabee now leads in the Sunshine State Primary with 27% of the vote. He is trailed closely by Romney at 23% and Giuliani at 19%. Fred Thompson is at 9% in the poll, John McCain at 6%

The best laid plans......LOL.

Rooty's Plan A was to kick conservatives to the curb and religiously cleanse the Repub Party.

Now comes word Giuliani is laying low in the early caucuses/primaries b/c he was gonna be slaughtered by conservative voters.

The latest Rasmussen Reports polling in the state of Florida suggests that Giuliani might need to work on a 'Plan B.'

With RINO Rooty running aorund, Repubs are looking at a major debacle ala Nov 2006.

I suggest Rooty try Plan C----get out of the 2008 race, and resign from the Repub Party.

He says he is laying low, while he's pounding the airwaves with ads. It would be embarrassing if he admitted he was really trying and still got slaughtered. Gotta keep up that air-of-superiority, ya know?

I suggest Rooty try Plan C----get out of the 2008 race, and resign from the Repub Party.

On that, I agree.

Hey... did you see the article about NYC's newest interloper? This so-called self-made billionaire enhanced his wealth with questionable contracts to run the NYC welfare system, let by none other than so-called Republican Giuliani. After "winning" the bid, despite being the highest proposal and Rudy's team questionably disqualifying the competition, the Catsimatidis group moved quickly to hire Louis Carbonetti (son of Rudy pal Lou, Sr. and brother of Anthony--Rudy's righthand guy). Carbonetti was convicted in 2004.

Tycoon Moves to G.O.P. for ’09 Run

John A. Catsimatidis, the supermarket mogul, has taken a page from Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s playbook, switching his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican — in anticipation of a mayoral bid in 2009.

A self-made billionaire like the man he hopes to succeed, and one of Hillary Clinton’s strongest supporters, Mr. Catsimatidis said in a letter sent to Republican Party leaders on Thursday that he wanted to keep the city from reverting to its past of high crime, low quality of life, and clubhouse politicians in smoke-filled back rooms.

He wrote: “We can’t go back to the way this city was, in the years before two leaders, Rudy Giuliani and Mike Bloomberg, showed the nation and the world that common-sense Republican principles could tame a city that was viewed as unmanageable and had become synonymous with all that was wrong with urban America.”

The party switch, reported yesterday in The New York Sun, would allow Mr. Catsimatidis, 59, easier access to the ballot...

Oh yeah.......all switch hitters.

Catsimatidis, Giuliani, Carbonetti——they all worship at the Church of Whatever Works For Me.

And he believes voters should genuflect and kiss his ring when he enters a room.

“To: Liz,

What is your obsession, here”

It is like the Terri Schaivo putsch going on around here to demonize Rudy and drive away his supporters. If you had to ride in a car all day with one of the candidates, Rudy would be my choice. Liz, will you vote for Rudy if he is the nominee, or participate in giving the election to the Democrats because of Rudy Derangement Syndrome?

Actual exerpts from speech from RCP:

Drawing on his years of experience as a prosecutor, Rudy Giuliani is set to day to deliver what is being billed as his “closing argument” of the primary campaign. Here are excerpts from today’s speech released yesterday afternoon by his campiagn:

America needs a leader. I am running for President of the United States because I believe that I can lead America into a new era...with bold leadership, optimism, determination, and distinctly American solutions.
***

If you are looking for perfection, you are not going to find it. Not in me and not in any candidate. But if you are looking for a leader who has been tested in times of crisis...A leader who is ready to lead right now... A leader who has achieved results - results that some people thought were impossible - a leader who believes that there is no problem too serious for American solutions and a free, American spirit ... I believe I am that leader.

***

Some people look at the challenges we face as a nation and they fear the future.

I welcome it.

I welcome the opportunity to defeat the Islamic terrorists who are at war with us because of our freedoms.

I welcome the opportunity to restore fiscal discipline to Washington D.C. while we empower millions of people to move out of poverty and achieve the American dream.

And I welcome the opportunity to win this election...leading a revitalized, 50-state Republican Party into the White House.

***

As I travel across our country, I’ve begun to hear a murmur that somehow America has lost its ability to achieve great goals.

Some good people have come to believe that our country is on the wrong track. Middle Class families feel that the American Dream may be slipping away - they’re worried the future might not be as bright as the past.

It does not have to be that way. We can decide America’s direction. We determine America’s future. That’s what an election is all about.

***

We’re at war. The American people want to see victory in Iraq and Afghanistan - not humiliation and defeat. They want their children to live free from the fear of Islamic Terrorism. They’re telling us: Get it done. And we will.

Washington’s culture of wasteful spending is out of control. The American people want to see real fiscal discipline. They’re telling us: Get it done. And we will.

Americans have heard presidents talk about energy independence for three decades. Now they are paying more at the pump and seeing their money flow into the hands of our enemies. They’re telling us: Get it done. And we will.

The American people are angry that the federal government has failed to secure our border. They want to see legal immigration reconnected with Americanization. They’re telling us: Get it done. And we will.

What America needs in 2008 is a proven leader who will get things done.

***

I believe in the strength and wisdom of the American people.

Look at our history and you’ll see why.

Because no matter when or how your ancestors came to our country, we are all the proud descendants of pioneers and patriots.

Their optimistic American spirit...the defiant determination to do what some consider impossible - that is our greatest inheritance.

Woohoo! Gun grabbing, national id cards, global warming laws, appointments for corrupt cronies, special privatization deals for corrupt cronies, energy independence investments for corrupt cronies, a "technological fence" to enrich corrupt cronies (and do little to enforce the border), "free" trade agreements for all...

Sometimes, not getting things done is just fine.

Rednecks don’t get to meet many girls living in the sticks-—and marryin’ Muslims are confronted with the burka.

But when Rooty married his cousin, he was in swinging NYC where the girls were plentiful......it just smacks of desperation.

If you visit the link, you would find that marrying first cousins is quite prevalent in Muslim countries. There are links to hundreds of scientific articles by Arab doctors and scholars about the genetic problems that result.

I would really like to think this is untrue but I cannot find any evidence rebutting it.

Then there many small enclaves in Europe: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/4442010.stm

People in LA love Bratton.

Really, they do? Not sure if you are kidding Liz but ... I live in LA. and ...

Bratton appeared on LA. radio shortly after being appointed Police Chief, a caller asks the chief why aren't his cops doing anything about illegal immigration. bratton slams the guy telling him "we (the LAPD) are out of the immigration business and if you don't like it you can leave the state".

This arrogant ba$tard just arrived in my city telling citizens to get out if they expect the police department they pay for to act against illegals. Believe me no one likes Bratton in LA. He and Viilaragosa are the exact same smell, out for themselves and to hell with us.
