LOS ANGELES, CA, December 14, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Barbara Walters likes to receive Christmas greetings from high-profile celebrities and leaders, but apparently not if they refer to the Bible.
On Thursday's episode of ABC's The View, Walters expressed dismay that President and Mrs. Bush would send out greetings containing Scripture.
During the segment, Walters showed the other gals some of the "highfalutin Christmas cards," and explained the White House card:

To: Cecily
oh wait, from the rest of the article
...Walters showed her co-hosts a Christmas card from Elton John and his partner David Furnish that had angels on the cover. She didn't have similar concerns over the religious imagery as she did about the Scripture printed in the White House card...."

Bawa was right! Why bring religion into a purely commercial holiday? That crosses the line between Church and State.

I thought that all of the cards from the President and First Lady for several years had biblical quotes. I have kept mine, but they are not easily accessible.
Maybe this is the first year she has seen one.

Barbara, you old hag. You have no talent and your opinions are stupid. There was a reason that Rosie O’Donuts was on “The View.”

"That's from Nehemiah in the Old Testament. I don't remember- and I'm sure people will remind me-getting a religious card. Now does this also go to agnostics and atheists and Muslims and -" OK, Babs, I'll sell you a clue for free. Nehemiah is from the Old Testament, the Christian term for the Jewish scriptures.
Christians and Jews are celebrating holidays this month. Muslims and agnostics aren't. Get it?

Christmas greetings can be sent to Barbara Walters at the following address. CMI asks that Christmas greetings be worded in the spirit of the season.

If a Moslem sent me a “Happy Ramadan” card, I’d not be offended.
If a Hindu or Buddhist sent me a card to show their celebration of a religious holiday, I’d not be offended.
They want to share their faith with me? Fine. I’ll be happy to share mine with them.
If an atheist were to send me a blank card, I’d be amused, but not offended.
So, ba ba, why the offense?

It doesn't bother me!!! I love Christmas and Judeo-Christian values!
It's funny how it seems that only the "tolerant" and "diverse" liberal/Democratic non-Christians are the ones who are anti-Christian.
