LOS ANGELES, CA, December 14, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Barbara Walters likes to receive Christmas greetings from high-profile celebrities and leaders, but apparently not if they refer to the Bible.
On Thursday's episode of ABC's The View, Walters expressed dismay that President and Mrs. Bush would send out greetings containing Scripture.
During the segment, Walters showed the other gals some of the "highfalutin Christmas cards," and explained the White House card:

Thinned-skinned FReepers have become “offended” as easily and often as flying Imams these days. Too many lately are hitting ABUSE rather than engage in dialog just because they cannot handle a bruised ego once in awhile or cannot do a simple search for information outside of their belief system.
Just because someone posts something one person doesn’t agreee with is NOT a reason for banning nor is it a “personal attack” as some have claimed.
Those who are easily offended should go elsewhere rather than look for any reason to hit ABUSE and it is becoming nothing more than entertainment for those who do so.
The site owner or the mods have the power to zot whomever they wish for whatever reason they wish. But the process usually begins with someone from the class of the easily-offended hitting ABUSE when there was no valid reason to do so.
“Are the cards from the Bushes or the government?”
A late reply, but someone upthread sez it is the RNC or the DNC that does these things, depending on who is in charge of the White House. (I wasn’t on the klintoon’s list for some reason)
We never send anything but Christmas cards that reflect a Bible verse. It is, after all, a celebration of Jesus’ birth.
Can we have a hint?
“The View” is a total b*tch-fest between BIG NOTHINGS like Babwa Wa-Wa and lesbian Rosie O’Donnell, etc. (Not that I watch it, but excerpts of it all too often invade prime time TV or are written up in newspapers and news-magazines, etc.) What these overrated nonenentities have to say is of little importance, except that it wrongly influences all too many people, especially women. That also goes for the super-BIG NOTHING Oprah. Too many people let her influence what books they should read. Now they are letting her influence them as to what candidate to vote for, the stealth New World Order “Manchurian candidate” Obama!
I have news for Ms. Wa-Wa. That which she knows as Christmas is really Christ-mass, the Feast of the Holy Nativity of our Lord. God the Son took on our humanity in order to destroy death, raise us to new life, and unite us with the very life of the Holy Trinity.
That is the great good news of Christmass. There is no need to make catty comments aginst this holy mystery, even if one has lost her (or his) faith in it. Billions of people still retain the faith, and many discover it anew. Ms. Wa-Wa might do better to pray to our good God, that she might rediscover it for herself.
I’d expect the Jewish person to be gracious except the card and say I hope you have a merry Christmas. A lot of Jewish merchants don’t mind selling Christmas gifts and making profits . All this BS sensitivity is too much for me.
BaBa, and her familiar, Whoopie, had no problem with the Saudi card.
I really do not know how anyone stands watching these sick women.
I heard about this on Laura’s show, otherwise I wouldn’t waste my time on this lousy, traitorous, The View.
If it would bother you so much to be gracious and except a well meaning gesture then why not just say thank you and give it to someone else. All this piety is ridiculous. You would not have initiated the act and therefore the only sin you would be guilty of is good manners.
This is Barbra WaWa weportiting wive.
This is just sad. My prayers go out to this woman. Barbara, go back to Temple!
You can know someone without knowing their personal religious beliefs. Knowing this information of the 60 people in your company is a bit weird.
What in the world is wrong with
You alone are the LORD.
You made the heavens, even the highest heavens,
and all their starry hosts, the earth and all that is in it,
the seas and all that is in them.
You give life to everything.
and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
Nehemiah 9:6 (NIV)
May the joy of all creation fill your heart this blessed season.
Amen.
Very well stated.
Bet Barbara would have preferred a card like this:
To All My Democrat Friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2008, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere.
Also, this wish is made without regard to the
race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wishee.
To My Republican Friends:
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Propriety and respect for the anti-obscenity guidelines here prohibit me from fully describing the disgusting pukes that Walters, and her ilk, truly are.
Kinky stuff, eh?
Every year we invite several of our friends to our Christmas Eve open house. We understand that many of our closest friends will spend that evening with their relatives, so we’re never hurt when they don’t show. However, we have had the same three Jewish families come every year for about ten years now. They always express their thanks for our remembering them, because no one else invites them anywhere for the “real” Christmas parties.
It says on the back of the card that is is paid for by RNC. I think it is a beautiful card and I love the scripture inside. I think every year the Bush’s send a religious card. I love it. I think it is perfect.
Great...I’ll call Michael Medved and tell him that WE don’t pay for it.
