LOS ANGELES, CA, December 14, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Barbara Walters likes to receive Christmas greetings from high-profile celebrities and leaders, but apparently not if they refer to the Bible.
On Thursday's episode of ABC's The View, Walters expressed dismay that President and Mrs. Bush would send out greetings containing Scripture.
During the segment, Walters showed the other gals some of the "highfalutin Christmas cards," and explained the White House card:

If Ms. Walters is so offended by this card, she can send it to me. Ill take it. He is wasting his time sending it to her. He is too nice at times.
>>I gave a co-worker a gift card to a coffee joint inside a christmas card. She said, I dont celebrate Christmas, Im Jewish.<<
Try Googling up “Ben Stein Christmas”; print that out and give it to her, the jerk. I’m a Christian, but I was there for the lighting of the menorah with close friends last week. Moving. Inspiring.
Um... Actually, Muslims do celebrate a major holiday this month. Eid al-Adha starts December 20th (if my calendar is correct) and last for 4 days or so. It commemorates God's gift of a ram in place of the son whom God had commanded Abraham to sacrifice. It is to celebrate sacrifice and obedience to God.
How the heck is anyone to know who’s a jew and who’s not? It’s getting so you can’t say Merry Christmas to anyone. Which, I guess, is what some people want.
Sorry, I have several conservative orthodox Jewish friends who keep closely to the Torah and they have accepted Christmas cards and gifts graciously. Accepting a gift is not like participating in a ceremony (and yet I did participate in many of their ceremonies as a gentile observer). Being respectful of other’s beliefs doesn’t mean you have compromised yours.
Of course she wasn’t offended by Sir Elton’s card. Those weren’t angels, those were FAIRIES!!!!!!
To hell with babs.
I don’t think the devil will have to work very hard to get her.
Yeah, right.
Buck Farbra!
The best possible person, I’m convinced, to make that observation on that old witch is Laura Ingraham. Laura is head and shoulders when it comes to intelligence over just about everyone on radio or tv, in my opinion.
Just posted the same thing myself! I’m mailing my religious Christmas card to Barbara Walters tomorrow. (I’m not kidding.)
Are you saying Baba has a history? Explain, please.
.
Walters is the stereotype that creates stereotypes
She hates Christinity and despises Christians
What a wonderful token representing her kind
But the MSM TV is overrepresented by her and those like her - Bitter fools who will cause their own bad endings - esp. in NYC and high density urban cities
She believes in nothing except money and power and superficial things
[Bitter fools who will cause their own bad endings]
I think “The View” is watched by many women, just like Operah. I could not stand to sit and listen to their mindless jabbering.
For Barbara Walters to denigrate a Biblical verse on a CHRISTmas card shows how idiotic she is.
