Someone once said, “You never hear of them shooting up a police station.”

Oh yea?

As if none of us saw this coming as soon as we heard it on the news.

She ... pointed out the "gun-free zone" sign at the church entrance ... and was shot down

Does anyone with a brain still think "gun-free zones" prevent things like this?

More effective gun control: more citizens with guns shooting enough nuts and well-publicized enough to convince the rest of them that to try something like that will result in their immediate demise.

I have two disadvantages when I respond to threads like this:

1) I actually read the article, and,

2) I can’t type fast enough.

Or a gun shop. Or a military base.

The Church Massager, that did not happen, was and example of good gun control. Ms. Assam decontrolled her gun effectively and hit her target, multiple times.

Seventy-three people are dead now, because the NRA continues to block reasonable gun-control measures."

No, 73 people are dead now because liberal weenies coddle criminals instead of punishing them. And because this society protects madmen instead of segregating them where they can do no harm. And because whenever some inevitable tragedy like this occurs on the fringes of a diverse population, the Left rushes to make political hay of it when they should be looking at the root causes.

We need more "gun control" like we need higher taxes.

Effective control=guns in the hands of all law-abiding citizens, with them trained in using and upkeep and safety of said guns.

The reasons we have so many deranged people can be traced back to the denigratioin of the culture, the denying of a higher power, and rampant PC pushed by these same "caring" people pushing for more and more gun control.

These people need a reality check, but are so far gone, they wouldn't get a blip out of a real brush with reality.

Gun control has kept the Democrats out of the White House for 8 years so it will not be an issue this election cycle.

Perhaps this is just a brush with the '4th estate'?

Or a gun shop. Or a military base.

Actually there are many instance of less than bright criminals trying to rob gun stores, while they are open for business.

Now that doesn't exactly make the robbers the brightest bulbs in the string, since at the gun shops, and gun ranges I know of, the staff is armed.
