"...and many fear deportation for themselves, a relative or close friend...Sigh... One could only hope. Unfortunately, that's never going to happen. The best that we can hope for at this point is to deport the criminals that we pick up and make it less attractive for the rest to remain here illegally.
BUT FIRST, SEAL THE DAMN BORDER!

IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT HISPANICS.
THE LAWS ARE NOT DESIGNED AGAINST AN ETHNICITY OR RACIAL GROUPING BUT AGAINST A LEGAL STATUS.
There are worried Chinese, Filipinos, Hungarians, Malaysians, Egyptians, Irish, French, Gabonese, Saudi, Koreans, hundreds and thousands of illegal aliens in the United States are feeling fearful and think they or a relative might be caught.
Because people violate the law, they feel concerned. This is true with probably all lawbreakers.
They would feel no fear if they broke no laws.
I wish the stupid MSM would get this through their thick numbskulls.

This is very sad, and another example of how illegal hispanics have made life harder for the legal ones. Yet the MSM continues to portray legal hispanics as supportive of illegal immigration, despite evidence like the 46% of Arizona hispanics who voted in favor of Proposition 200 to deny benefits to illegals.

I just love it! Testing for future use.

Good, the illegals haven’t had much to fear during the Bush Administration. It took a Presidential campaign to show them what honest, law-abiding Americans think about them.

...like the 46% of Arizona Hispanics who voted in favor of Proposition 200 to deny benefits to illegals. Unfortunately, the other 54% who voted against it are here illegally and voted anyway.

many fear deportation for themselves, a relative or close friend, a poll showed today.I certainly hope so! They need to go!
To: SwinneySwitch
The poll found 53 percent of Hispanics said they worry about deportation for themselves, a relative or close friend, including 33 percent who said they worry about it a lot. While foreign-born Hispanics were most anxious, even one in three native-born Hispanics who are all U.S. citizens expressed worry. So, what this says is over half of the Hispanics in the U.S. are breaking the law. They are either here illegally or are assisting someone who is. This coming to light has more to do with any "negative reactions" or "discrimination problem" of Hispanics. If Americans are kicked long enough they'll fight back.

If they (of all ancestries) can be legally deported, then they should be legally deported.
