NEW YORK Federal authorities have subpoenaed financial records and employees in an apparent probe of the Rev. Al Sharpton's 2004 presidential bid, nonprofit civil rights group, and for-profit businesses, a newspaper reported Thursday.
As many as 10 Sharpton associates were subpoenaed Wednesday to testify before a federal grand jury in Brooklyn Dec. 26, his lawyer told the Daily News.
They were told to provide investigators with financial records from the campaign and roughly six Sharpton-related businesses, as well as personal financial documents of Sharpton and his wife, the newspaper said.
The FBI and Internal Revenue Service are seeking the records, which go back to 2001, according to the Daily News.
A Sharpton spokeswoman did not immediately return phone calls or e-mail messages early Thursday.
An FBI agent who answered the phone at the agency's New York headquarters declined to comment, and an agency spokesman did not immediately return a telephone message. An IRS spokesman did not immediately return phone calls.

Dat’s raciss! Youse raciss!
The system is clearly out of control. The FBI and the IRS, as well as various Senate committees, are only supposed to audit and subpoena groups which are associated with the Christian RIGHT, and conservative groups like the Heritage Foundation. Sharpton needs to remind everyone that he’s is black and is far left, and his credentials as a confirmed America-hater are impeccable. He is entitled to the same preferential treatment he would get as a Clinton, Sandy Berger or Paris Hilton. His race and political views are supposed to transcend any and all behavior, including fraud, rape, intimidation, obstruction of justice, treason and even murder. Someone in Washington is clearly off-script. This is an outrage. /sarc
I’m waiting for the mods to delete the entire post.
They have been pretty touchy of late, banning one of mine for using the word “fag.” - We’ll see.
:)
Right...If anyone wants to know the outcome for Democrat supporters, just think Sandy Berger...
Most Blacks won’t find a black guilty. This is all a waste of energy, and Sharpton knows it.
Are you kidding?... That is only word I use... when I'm being nice! :)
Politically correctness in FR! - Ha!... have to see that :)
>Where were they when the Clintons were taking Chinese cash hand over fist ?
Investigating Monica.

Scroll up to post 4. - Actually, I was ticked that they removed my post for using the word.
I think that we need to know if FR is becoming more PC as far as the homosexual agenda is concerned.
We can still use the word “homo” can’t we, Mr moderator?
Agreed. What happened to dreaming of a world where his children were judged by their quality of character, not the color of their skin? Oh, that’s right, no guilt-bennies for non-victims. I sometimes wonder what the “african american community” would look like, had MLK lived.
He practically works for Hillary, he must have made a huge mistake, somehow. I wonder if she pressured him to run or something.
Back in the 60’s blacks were fighting for what was rightfully theirs. Nowadays they are fighting whitey for everything due their sense of entitlement that has been nurtured by the poverty pimps. Back then it was still conseidered shameful to have a child out of wedlock. Nowadays 3 out of 4 black children born are illegitimate. The homies cry that the prison populations are disproportionately black. What they fail to admit is that blacks commit a disproportionate amount of crimes. All because whitey is trying to keep the bruthas down and drugs and gangs are the only way they can find to make a living
I seem to remember the Rev. Jackson being audited during the Clinton Administration. The auditors threw up their hands and quit the audit because Jackson’s bookkeeping practices were shoddy. You try that.
Not a good day for the Black Klux Klan crowd
Will the Feds keep their backbone during this Sharpton investigation? Probably not. We have been finding the GOP lacking the backbone to do the right thing so many times in recent years
The "hidden hairy hand of the white man" as Jesse Jackson put it many years ago.
What goes around, comes around.
Again I do it all the time, but if FR ever gets to impeded this kind of speech, then we know FR has become infected by the homosexual/fag agenda we well. I would hate to see that happen.
