According to Intrade, the winner of today’s GOP debate was... Duncan Hunter.

I agree the polls aren’t very useful. Thompson’s campaign has said that coming in third in Iowa is important, and coming in second would be a huge win. If Thompson comes in second or third in Iowa, and then comes on strong in South Carolina and the Super Tuesday southern states, he’ll be in a great position.

It’s an expectations game.

IIRC—Isn’t Intrade illegal in the USA now, so the people wagering are by and large non-U.S. citizens? How is that valid? Please explain...

Been some years. Does sound a bit like Fred’s campaign, no?

There is a reason that a man who put himself through law school, been a fed. prosecutor, senator and actor comes off as lazy, and it is not because his wife made him run or the like.

God help the country if we nominate Huckabee. It would mean we have two socialist parties in the country: one socialist party that wants the government to enforce some semblance of traditional morality (the Republicans) and one that wants to tear down all vestiges of traditional morality (the Democrats). And we’d be guaranteed a POTUS for the next four years clueless about foreign policy.

Bush was bad enough as a big-government type, and for all the good he did with the (ill-named) War on Terror, naive enough to stick with the Foggy Bottom types continued attempt to appease the Islamists by giving them Kosovo, which continued to alienate Russia. If Huck is the nominee, regardless of who wins the general, it will be more of the same on both fronts. (That said, I’d hold my nose and vote for Huck over any of the demonRAT front-runners simply because he’s pro-life, and that even though I’m not a single-issue pro-life voter.)

I agree. This is grade school crapola. However, for the voter, there is still some useful info to be taken from these silly and degrading formats. No matter how artificially constructed to squelch and control the emergence of pecking order, the natural leader reveals himself.

People vying for the position of CEO do not allow the pencil pusher in HR to direct the process.

I did love Fred saying he would not raise his hand unless he had a minute to explain his answer.

About time someone turned the tables on those set up questions.

I hear the same git is going to do the next Dem debate.

A year from now, we’ll look at today as the day Fred won the election.

From your post to God's ear.

‘The Art of War’ is taught in law schools, business schools and officer candidate schools. And something to read a little bit of again in bed before going to sleep. That’s how to remember things long term.

I am suspicious of that .. mainly because Soros is so closely aligned with Hillary - and she would love to run against Huck.

Also .. Soros has many organizations in which his name is hidden from the public .. and they deceive people into believe Soros is not involved with them.

I don’t know .. it just seems to me that Huck is more than a little naive.
