That would be OK with me....
This is absolutely disgraceful and a sad commentary on the trash that has loused up today’s society!
Either there’s more and more of this going on or the MSM is getting cheap thrills out of it because this is becoming a nearly daily occurance. My heart just goes out to those little ones.
Things are good here. I bought furniture from Homestead in Nescopeck last month. What a really pretty town. Things are good here in my part of Drums. Our development is in the process adding 70 new homes for people fleeing Hazleton. The construction started this past summer and seven new streets are being put in as we speak. Who would have ever thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How are you and the family doing?
Doing well. I started dialysis in August, and feel much better. Hopefully a kidney will come along soon. Still working full time.
Nescopeck is right across the river; in fact, we buy ALL of our furniture at Homestead. Excellent service, quality furniture, and decent prices.
Merry Christmas.
Unfortnately, the poor child received beatings from at LEAST Thursday until his death Sunday. My guess is that the beatings occurred long before last week. See the link in post # 8.
Merry Christmas and best of HEALTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's really sad is that a 17 yr. old girl would selfishly choose to keep the baby and not allow the child to grow up in a loving, nurturing two parent home. What's even sadder is the fact that society no longer thinks children raising children is not in the best interest of the child, the mother, or society itself.
She was only 19 she was only a baby herself! Honestly how smart were you people at 19? I believe she loved her baby, I just believe she was stupid at 19 to get away from an abuser. She most likely had no money as well, and was forced to stay with him. It is really sad that there were no grandparents to help her.

Spoken like a Democrat! Are you sure you are for Fred?
Yeah, sure, 19 is just a baby. Tell that to the “babies” who are fighting for us in Iraq and Afganistan.
I did many stupid things at 19 — and beyond — but even as a little girl of 5 I would not have stood by and let someone brutalize a baby. And anyone who harmed any of my babies would get a hurtin’ from me somehow.
I sure hope you are not in any position that involves the safety of children.
someone (EDUCATION?) should warn young girls that pre-school age children, particularly boys, are SIXTY TIMES more in danger of abuse from de facto ‘fathers’ than children of the same age who live only with their mother or with both natural parents.

Sorry, there are just some slutty women who really don’t care that much for their children to begin with. Having a boyfriend around is the #1 priority.
...childhood has been artificially extended.

Amen to that. Just had a conversation about this with someone yesterday. So many of our young people have not been properly taught responsibility and thinking about consequences. They have lots of “self-esteem” but a warped sense of right and wrong.
Again, the Question Of Our Age: “Where’s Dad?”

Chances are he doesn’t even know of the kid’s existence. It’s also entirely likely that she does not even know who the father is.
i agree with you that irrespective of age, human decency should have prevailed here. but the extended childhood to which you refer goes to the prevalence of women pursing higher education. i donât think thatâs necessarily a bad thing. i graduated from college and law school before getting married at 29 and having my first child at age 32. i worked throughout and really wasnât experiencing any sort of prolonged adolescence.
“They have lots of self-esteem but a warped sense of right and wrong.”
It’s like my father says all the time..”all these kids think very highly of themselves even if they have no reason to...”
The “childhood” I’m referring to isn’t so much when a person does or doesn’t marry - it’s when society actually considers themselves an adult.
We’re a bit double minded in that manner.
We send kids off to war before we consider them old enough to drink.
We give them degrees -hire them for work - but when a 25 yr. old gets a DWI, I often hear people say “oh he/she is just a kid and will grow out of it.”
So even though you didn’t become a mom until 32, I’m going to guess that you thought like an adult, and behaved like an adult much earlier than that.
I think people live up to (or down to) expectations.
We don’t expect as much out of teens and young adults as we used to.
Hi BC,
I just read your profile about your Kidney. I did not realize it when I received your post.
God bless and I hope you are feeling better and I also pray you get that Kidney.
Happy New Year!
Thanks; I appreciate the prayers.
I actually got a call for a kidney on Christmas night, but was 3rd “in line” for it. However, that means I’m 1 closer the next time, so hopefully it won’t be too much longer. I have a blog (address on my tagline) that I use to keep everyone updated. I’m actually doing well; still working full time.
Happy New Year!
19 year olds are standing up for us in Iraq and Afghanistan.
19 is NOT a baby.
