But my real favorite Chritmas song is O Holy Night, unless some pop singer is butchering it. :o)

Although I prefer to hear "O Holy Night" in the original French, my all time favorite version of Adolphe Adam's 1847 opus was performed by the Old Fashioned Revival Hour Chorus Choir, with contralto Beth Farnham singing lead, in a 1950 broadcast. I also have a recording of the choir singing the carol in 1954, which sounds almost identical.
