Now the money sucks for two reasons, Boehner said in a Politico interview. People are mad at the president; they are mad at the party. And then [there is] this whole immigration fight. People just turned off the spigot.
Boehner has undertaken a study, consulting corporate image experts, to re-brand the party. But so far, no big ideas have emerged. Some of his own colleagues regard Boehner as more of a transitional figure, between the Gingrich-DeLay era (in truth, both men drove Boehner to distraction) and the next generation of leadership.

Here's a nutty idea, and you can have it free: Small-government conservatism.
Boehner has undertaken a study, consulting corporate image experts, to re-brand the party.
Typical corporate knee-jerk reaction... re-branding.
Boehner, here's a clue... All RINOs need to step down and cede power to the Conservatives or you will get nothing. Nada. Zip. You have no credibility or authority with the base anymore, nor can you gain any with your silly "re-branding" tactics.
If you fail to do so, you will certainly lose this election, and every election hereafter until Conservatism is observed and embraced once again by the Republican party. You ignore us at your peril, and if the GOP cannot see fit to stand for what we believe in, the GOP will be utterly defeated and go the way of the Whigs.
You have to look on the positive side. The new tone has garnered a lot of cooperation from the Democrats. They respect him and are willing to work with him for the benefit of the country.

Great post. I wonder what the individual conservative candidates are receiving from the faithful compared to the RNC, etc..
Hell yes, and more so!
Senator John Thune,
If youre a staffer for the Senator, stop reading and get this to the Senator!
He needs to know what the party faithful really think!
I had to retrieve your fundraising letter from the trash after I saw John Boehners comments about the sad state of fundraising in the GOP.
Please share this with him.
The party is NOT getting a nickel from 90% of Republicans because the majority of current office holders have abandoned conservative values.
Some of us will contribute to candidates BY NAME who have CLEAR CONSERVATIVE VALUES.
The first thing the party must do is get rid of the RINOs, and make sure they are not even running for office.
The RINOs who run will be replaced by democrats due to lack of finances and lack of turnout.
Failing this objective the party can expect another 40 years in the wilderness.
If thats not depressing enough, imagine Hillary in the White House for 8 years!
- Disarming our Military,
- Destroying the best Health Care system in the world,
- Selling our resources to the Chinese,
- Creating alliances with every anti-Christian, anti-Jewish dictator in the world,
- Etc
Ill probably send you something next Summer.
Until then, keep your powder dry. (meaning dont waste your limited resources sending me mailings until after June.)

No "seems" about it. It's still high on the Senate's list. And a lot of Republicans are all for it. Bunch of pond scum.
woo...That Skull and Bones secret society ring from Yale...
cool-on a Yalie....not too cool on the POTUS...
Now about that little speck of land out in the Pacific...We can’t give you Ca, NM, AZ and CR but we’ll trade you this island for Northern Mexico and throw in 2 Billion in humanitarian aid......Oh alright then, just send ‘em over and we’ll forget the land trade..Deal ?....Yeah hey Dick, we just got a halibut deal !...
Just wait until the next election. They're going to find out we turned off votes for them too. They're NOT the least bit interested in doing the will of the Americans who put them into office, so we're going to have to get people in office who will listen to us.
Boehner has undertaken a study, consulting corporate image experts, to re-brand the party.
THAT is the secord biggest problem that the GOP has. They've sold out to big corporations at the expense of Americans! Not having money is the least of their worries. They may be tried for treason by a court of angry Americans!
The icing on the cake is that they are working behind closed doors under the cover of night to figure out how to pass amnesty. They will destroy America to pad their own bank accounts, and to me, that's the most despicable thing they can do. Traitors should be hanged!!
Many would agree, no one has beat the GOP in getting people to register as Independents.
Don’t forget the fawning over Phil, er, Arlen Specter.
At least the stupid party was able to get a clue about why the $ stopped. I'm truly surprised. They're evidently not as stupid as we thought they were, and are just determined NOT to represent the people who elected them even if it means NO $ and NO re-election.
That should give all of us who have supported the "stupid" party a clue about out future as conservatives in the Republican party.
I read Steve Laffey’s book, “Primary Mistake”. The money spent by the RNC and Liddy Dole at the NRSC to smear him in his campaign against Chaffee would have been better spent on close races in Missouri and Virginia to keep REAL Republicans in the Senate.
Furthermore, the NRCC interfered in an open primary in southern AZ. They spent money on the most liberal, conscience-less “Republican”, and we wound up losing that seat.
And they wonder where their donations have gone?
An admission that what the party has done is wrong.
But no understanding of what they need to do to get right.
We are dealing with an incredible level of political ignorance here.
I agree with that!
Bill
If this government, and much of the GOP leadership would not have perpetrated, aided and abetted, and publicly encouraged this lawless, violent illegal invasion of our country, you'd wouldn't be on here now attempting to beg for votes and redeem support for those that turned their backs on conservatives and this country.
