"We are dealing with an incredible level of political ignorance here."

The ONLY ignorance IMO is the failure of many conservatives to realize that the Republican party has left them and has no intention under any circumstances of representing conservatives ever again.

We are the "stupid" ones to keep voting for these people because we don't want a Democrat to be elected. The Republicans have sold us out and we should fear all but a few of them just as much as we fear any of the Democrats.

But, were tears streaming down his face as he said it?

I was one of those who voted for Ross Perot in 1992.

I'll never make the same mistake again.

“People are mad at the president; they are mad at the party.
And then [there is] this whole immigration fight. People just
turned off the spigot.”

I remember trying to explain to a cousin from Canada why the
MSM will continue to report their own propaganda and outright
lies EVEN is it's ruining their business.
I told him "It's because they are committed liberal propagandists.
They'll keep spouting their bilge until they go broke."

Never said I'd think of the RNC in the same way.
They know they are RUINING themselves in terms of donations
due to their PRO-ILLEGAL ALL THE TIME stances.
And they've decided to court political disaster...all that matters is:
"STICK WITH THE ILLEGALS, NO MATTER WHAT"

“Bush’s Blunder: How Not to Fire Up the Base”

That’s insignificant compared to what Dubya has ACTIVELY, PURPOSEFULLY DONE:

Cast the base (in so many words) as a bunch of bigots for not embracing
every illegal invader since the Amnesty of 1986.

I respect Dubya for a lot.
But he’s totally “SCR-WED THE POOCH” on Illegal immigration.

I’m one of these people he’s referring too.

"I'll never make the same mistake again."

Keep on voting for those RINOs and send them some $ so they don't have to work hard to raise it. Meanwhile, that's why the Republican party has turned into the Me-Too-Democrats and will keep on moving left, tossing conservatives overboard as they go.

I didn't vote for Perot because I thought he was NUTS; I tried to talk my friends who were ABC voters into not voting for him. Looking back, I don't think it would have made a bit of difference if I had voted for him. Both Bushes have taken the Republican party in the wrong direction, but Bush the Younger had much better political advice in how to fool conservatives until it was too late to do anything about it. What is the difference if Ted Kennedy pushes through a program like No Child Left Behind or if George Bush does it for him?

Either way, in the end, another costly liberal expansion of government occurred at the expense of taxpayers and states rights.

You and I think alike.

In my state (Delaware) Republicans simply do not win no matter how hard they try. They do not represent anything resembling common sense. Conservatives have faced reality, registered Democrat and voted for conservative pro-life candidates in the primaries.

Which of these candidates will make a difference? Which of them understands the underlying historical forces at work that will destroy a great nation.

Here's yer sign: DUNCAN HUNTER.

I say my check book is closed, maybe you could call some of the illegals who have invaded my hometown and get a donation from them.
