Fred and Mitt, what a great GOP team that will be. (Although not necessarily in that order).

As I said to another person, they agreed to the format in advance. His comment about time might have been planned in advance. It played well. I actually liked the comment. I wouldn’t agree to a ten second answer either.

Hope you can see the repeat tonight a 9:00 eastern on C-Span 2! Fred also did great on Sean’s program today.:)

You seemed to have a strange attraction to Bob Dole... You do know he is married, right?

Another real moment that caused me to laugh out loud was one that involved Ambassador Alan Keyes, the moderator and Thompson.
Keyes was responding to a question in his ‘grand eloquence’ and the mod was trying to get him to relinquish the floor. She wasn’t having much success. When she could she tossed to Thompson on the same issue and he said, “I’ve got something to say on that, but what I really want to know is Keyes’ position on Global Warming.” (Paraphrased, a reference to hot air)
Now that cracked me up!

He has already said that he thinks the debates are like a bunch of trained seals waiting for a fish to be thrown at them.Actually Newt said that first, but I can easily see why Fred would agree.
I'm just waiting for the day when someone has the cajones to say: "Do you really want me to answer such a stupid and bias question" ?

Didn’t see the debate, but saw the highlights afterward on Fox. They absolutely skewered the reporterette in charge of the questions. The highlight seemed to be Fred Thompson’s refusal to take her order for a show of hands on man-made global warming. Good for him!
To: JRochelle
This isn’t grade school! He refused to raise his hand for the idiot moderator!.....Way to go Fred!
To: truthkeeper
“Do you believe that Global Warming is a threat...” small pause to allow hands to start going up “... and that Man is responsible for it.”
I might have the wording off a little, but that was the gist.

I wonder if Hunter would be open to a VP slot.
Couple of terms under Thompson, and he'd be ready to make a strong run for the White House.

Although not necessarily in that order. That order would cause me not to vote for the ticket (aside from the fact that FDT has stated he will not take a VP nomination.) The other order is one of those things that would make me reconsider voting for Fred.

Yes, and Fred said that today on Sean’s show. Sean had played the audio of the “show of hands/global warming” question and was laughing about it. GO FRED!

Secretary of State, Duncan Hunter.
That’s what I would like to see.

Thanks for the link to the video seekthetruth. I did not get to see the debate and Fred's smack down was great -- particularly of such a sour and bitchy moderator. She was truly insufferable.
Doughty, you are correct in your observation that the rest of the debaters were followers of Fred in that instance. He did good...
