Maybe The Huckster should apologize to Mitt first. He asked a question not to “ask” anything, but to smear Mitt on his religion. Very low. Its clear the Huckster is a political opportunist and a scam artist.

Bucking shark fins!

Hugh Hewitt owes the people of California an apology for his support of Schwarzenegger.

The guy is worse than worthless.

The Huckster owes everyone an apology for claiming to be a conservative when he knows that’s a lie. I’ll let the two RINO’s Romney and the Huckster hash out their differences, but I won’t be weighing in to defend either.

Maybe Huck should just shut up about other people’s religion.

Does he not realize he is running for the leader of the free world?

The President of the United States of America? The Commander in Chief?

That we have men in TWO WAR THEATERS right now?

I read all eleven pages. Huckabee was not taken out of context. The question was whether he thought Mormonism was a cult or religion. He said, “religion,” and could have stopped there. Instead he volunteered the next statement.

By Huckabee’s actions I do not believe he would uphold the Constitutional freedom of religion to which all Americans are entitled. Huckabee is a “my way or the highway” Christian, incapable of impartially governing a religiously pluralistic society. He is unworthy to be President.

In American Thinker, this like perfectly sums up my own disgust in The Huckster:

If a presidential candidate isn't weighing every word that comes out of his mouth - especially on such an explosive subject - he has no business in the race. Huckabee knew full well what he was saying and who he was saying it to. He was reminding Christian conservatives of who the "real" Christian in the race was.

I don’t support either Huckabee or Romney, but I have to wonder why is it okay to ask Huckabee over and over again what he believes on a religious point of doctrine (Is Mormonism a religion or a cult), but not okay to ask Romney about his religious beliefs (Are Jesus and the devil brothers)?

Personally, I don’t want a Baptist preacher in the White House (because I’m concerned that many Baptists are fiscally liberal and in favor of social programs), but I would like to see a little even play in these things.

Huckster is trolling for votes among bigots. There are even worse quotes from his supporters to validate that. No apology needed.

Huckabee is a liberal on every issue other than abortion and gay rights, which are two issues he won’t be able to do a damn thing about if he’s elected President anyway.

Kevin McCullough owes the entire universe an apology.

He is the most juvenile, ignorant and arrogant "spokesman for the right" and the GOP would be better off without his voice.

They should apologize to each other, then go to their corners and come out fighting at the bell.

I’d pay to see that.

Huckabee is NOT using the opportunity to invoke Mitt Romney. IN FACT the article notes that Mike Huckabee does not invoke Mitt Romney's name the entire time the discussion is being had.

Right. It was the merest coincidence that the NY Times and Hucksterbee just happened to have been having an innocent discussion about Mormonism, and the fact that his primary competition, whom the Slimes fears, is Mormon, had nothing to do with it.

I'm not sure which I dislike more about this punk McCullough kid--the fact that he smears and lies, or the fact that he insults our intelligence by acting as if he thinks we will fall for his drool.

Hugh Hewitt lost me utterly with his sycophancy for Mitt the Malleable.

Hewitt claims to be a great Republican, yet choses MITT!!??

-Mitt is a liar.

-Mitt ran his state like a moderate liberal.

-Mitt has no guiding conservative principles.

And THESE are the qualities of a guy a supposedly strong Republican like Hewitt wants in a candidate?

Worse, Hewitt then goes out of his way to slander and attack EVERY Republican that doesn’t line up in lockstep behind himself and Romney.

Hewitt is done. He simply has no credibility left.
