I have to question how we got to this point? How did the Republican party manage to sink to this level with so many RINOs? WTH did all the Conservatives go?
The GOP leadership thinks that the only way to win is to become more and more moderate (or as I like to call it, moving more to the left). They will gladly give up the conservative voter base in order to pick up more lefties/moderates.
Remember "Compassionate Conservatism" crap? Code words for moderate or left-leaning (the two are becoming synonymous).
Some of us are fighting back with our votes. President Bush's successor, Rick Perry, a former Democrat-turned-Republican-turned Democrat, nearly lost in his last election (he likes to brag about how he never loses, but 60% of Texans saw fit to vote for somebody else).
The way I see it - I haven't left the GOP, the GOP has left me - I'm still the same Conservative I was in the '70s, with many of the same beliefs, and I've long since reached a point where I've decided that the GOP has my loyalty if, and only if, they run conservative candidates. I will only vote for conservative candidates. That means if it comes down to Rudy vs Hillary, rather than vote for a liberal like Rudy, I'll vote third party or not vote at all.

Agreed. The media only gets to pick from those the money’d travelers put forth.

No one is pleased about Gilchrist lining up with the Huckster.
This is what California Coalition for Imm. reform says:

Patriots throughout our nation were shocked to learn that MMP founder JIM GILCHRIST has endorsed presidential candidate MIKE HUCKABEE.
As HUCKABEE’S record (noted below), clearly illustrates, he is an anti-American, pro-illegal alien champion of the racist hate group LULAC, the “open borders” globalists and welcomes diseased and deadly illegal alien criminals into our country.
What is more EVIL than a traitor posing as a man of God?
We ask that you share Huckabee’s record with as many patriots as possible.
Also, reassure them that CCIR has and will continue to support all courageous Minutemen/women who risk their lives to secure our borders, the dedicated anti-illegal alien rally leaders and participants, and the many patriot organizations who stand for the enforcement of our immigration laws and protection of our citizens from foreign invaders.

You’re singing to the Texas Conservative choir, Brother.
Perry supporting Rudy although, not that suprising, should be the *Last Straw* for many.

The GOP seems determined to commit ideological suicide. They should change the party name to the Anti-Machiavellian Party. They’re determined to support policies that will lock the Democrats into power in perpetuity.

Pretty bad, isn't it?
You would think they would have gotten the message there at RNC Headquarters when they had to start LAYING OFF PEOPLE because of the dramatic drop in contribution and the dramatic RISE in irate phone calls, faxes and e mails over their PRO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION STANCE.
How STUPID can these people be? They must be bought off. Money talks, when logic fails I guess.

We should work to get him to retract the Huckabee endorsement.
If he is in charge of any organization that relies on donors, go after the donor base. Dry up his source of funds.
He will come to his senses REALLLLL soon when he gets hit in the pocketbook. They all do. It is human nature.

Message to (KRLA Radio Conservative Talk Show Host) Terry Anderson, if you are out there (and through loyal Freeper Tennessee Nana).
Nominating Senor GILCHRIST for "Most Horriblest Clown of the WEEK" for your Sunday night show, might be an idea.
It hurts, but it's gotta be done!!

Mr. Gilchrist struck me as a deeply religious man so I suspect that he’s allowed himself to be taken in by the former pastor’s similarities. Same goes for Chuck Norris and the other celebrities climbing on Huckabee’s bandwagon.
1.We just learned that a pro-amnesty thinking candidate will be an amnesty-pursuing President no matter what comes out of their mouths while running,
2.The Middle East situation ALONE illustrates the need for a far tougher customer than Huckabee. “Can’t we all just get along?” doesn’t impress the ruthless lunatics waging jihadic war on us,
3.No more governors from Arkansas!
