Towards the end of the article, it says she was fired for lying.
Looks like she swore at a bus driver during an incident on the bus
So maybe she lied in saying during the inestigation that she didn’t
actually swear.
Some big-city buses do have survellance cams on board; maybe there
were also recorders about this bus?
(Or a lip-reader revealed Assam swore after just watching a surveillance tape?)
It will be interesting to hear “the rest of the story” from Ms. Assam.
How she’d be viewed as anything short of heroic is beyond me, bus incident or not.
What’s interesting to me about that is that she was fired. Wouldn’t a reprimand be more in line with the offense? There must be more to the story.
Or she might not have remembered swearing. Do you remember every time some $@%#)@ gets under your skin?
