NEW YORK, December 10, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation and Priests for Life have jointly announced the establishment of the "International Day of Prayer and Remembrance for Terri Schindler Schiavo, and All of Our Vulnerable Brothers and Sisters" ("Terri's Day"), to be observed each year on March 31, the date of Terri's death.
The purpose of the day, the groups explained, is to foster education, prayer, and activism regarding discrimination against the disabled, and advocacy for people in situations similar to what Terri and her family faced.
Fr. Frank Pavone said, "Those of us who were with Terri will never forget her life and her death. For the sake of all the vulnerable, it is critically important that those who never knew Terri likewise remember the lessons that God taught us through her."
Suzanne Vitadamo, Terri's sister, adds, "No family should ever have to witness what my family witnessed, watching a loved one slowly dehydrate to death. We want Terri's day to remind us all that persons with disabilities are never burdens and should be treated with nothing but our unconditional love and compassion."
In the early weeks of 2008, educational and prayer materials will be released that can be used by parishes, disability and pro-life groups and all communities to observe Terri's Day.

As we stand up to grim news and to the grim attacks of our detractors, we can be cheered with this gift of forum granted to us as a powerful platform for our defense of the faith.
Thank you, Jim Robinson and Mods, for this marvelous gift. May you all have a wonderful and successful New Year secure in the arms of Our Lord

4. Terri Schindler Schiavo Day Created, Assisted Suicide Bills Die
Despite the international attention surrounding the life and death of Terri Schiavo, issues like assisted suicide and euthanasia continue remain still don't receive as much attention from the pro-life community as they deserve.
The Schindler family is helping to combat that problem by establishing the "International Day of Prayer and Remembrance for Terri Schindler Schiavo." Terri Schiavo's day will be another reminder of how the culture of death that abortion started has extended to the elderly and disabled.
As the Schindler continue their yeoman's work for the disadvantaged, pro-life advocates were successful in stopping assisted suicide in California, Hawaii, and Vermont. They hoped to join Oregon, where assisted suicides are at an all time high.
Sadly, Jack Kevorkian was released form prison after serving just eight years of a 10 to 25 year prison sentence he received for killing a patient.

"Abandon all hope," ye who've entered Florida! All the good cheer of the holiday season is over. The once-a-year bursts of philanthropy, the love you protested and the kisses you blew, the gifts you exchanged, even your pledges of turning over a new leaf ain't gonna amount to a ball a wax. Whether you just weathered New Year's cold sober or tied one on, 2008's gonna be a nonstop hangover.
Human beings in general and Floridians in particular are notoriously mean-spirited, narrow-minded, greedy and selfish: Give us the prospect of a new year and a pristine start, and we'll always disappoint. After a few blessed holiday weeks of time-out for good behavior, Florida 2008 is gonna be infernal: about morality, money, malarkey and misery. It's "déjà vu all over again"!
Predictably following their basest instincts, Florida's self-righteous Radical Right promises to spend 2008 badly, dangling social red meat to energize ultra-conservatives. The same bunch that gave us the Terri Schiavo mess will be crusading to get its constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage passed in November.
The new year will be filled with mayhem

I'd say, the MSM has an identity crisis. They cannot identify who was with Terri. It wasn't some radical right coalition.
Terri's Fight rose up from here www.terrisfight.org, from Glenn Beck and other radio hosts and Freepers jumped on board. It was NOT radical right although we got the word out and then democrats joined Terri's Fight.
That's how it went... MSM, get a clue!

...........McCain thanked the audience “for your commitment to Judeo-Christian values upon which this nation was founded.” He said: “I am a conservative. My record shows I am a conservative.” On abortion, he said “the rights of the unborn should be respected.” Judges, he said, “should not legislate from the bench.”
But such speeches, even those as well attended as this one, are not what is most important in winning the support of alliance members who will attend the caucuses Thursday night. What probably matters more is the “2008 Iowa Christian Alliance Presidential Caucus Voters Guide,” which was distributed in churches around the state. It gives the candidates’ stands on 10 issues, based on their response to questionnaires.
Most of McCain’s answers would win him admission to any right-wing club in the nation.
He supports repeal of Roe v. Wade, opposes ratification of the Kyoto treaty as well as extension of federal hate crime laws to include sexual orientation. He is even against a proposal that exists so far only in the minds of paranoid ultraconservatives—a “NAFTA superhighway” running from Canada to Mexico.
But on one issue of particular importance in the world of the religious right, McCain split with the Iowa Christian Alliance: gay marriage. In Iowa, a county judge overturned an Iowa law banning same-sex marriages, although he later suspended his ruling pending an appeal to the Iowa Supreme Court. This prompted a statement by alliance President Scheffler and Morris Hurd, calling for a U.S. constitutional amendment banning such unions: “… Again we see that the judges view themselves as arrogant aristocrats who know so much more than the rest of us. ... In recent years, Biblical standards are almost completely abandoned and ignored............”

Des Moines, IA (LifeNews.com) -- By the time the janitors sweep the floors after Iowa Democrats conclude their party caucus meetings on Thursday night, a leading pro-abortion group will likely have spent half a million dollars promoting Hillary Clinton. That makes it one of the top handful of groups spending money backing candidates there.
Emily's List, which only backs pro-abortion Democratic women who support partial-birth abortions and making taxpayers fund abortions, has been in the New York senator's corner from the beginning.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A leading pro-life organization says it wants the Senate to give a pro-life Bush administration official who deals with population issues another term. When Iowa Republicans head to party meetings on Thursday night to cast their ballots for a candidate to represent the GOP in this year's presidential election, they should reject Rudy Giulaini. The former mayor has a long pro-abortion record and his recent attempts to moderate his image are disingenuous.

I think we are it, rattling cages. About the time I picked it up, upthread, Wesley J. Smith, the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation, and Steve Ertelt grabbed it, and now we have the new Terri Dailies with wagglebee. I hope we get enough attention to save the pook kid.
Many DUers are against the death cult. I’ll put them in keywords. They can help too.
