2000, actually. And I believed it. I fully expected the Clintons to decalre Martial Law over the Bush/Gore election debacle and make themselves Leaders For Life because the 2000 election was "illegitimate", according to them.
I was truly shocked that they voluntarily left office with nothing more than trashing the White House and looting Air Force One. I thought we got off light.
Look at them now - desperately trying to go back. And they wouldn't make the mistake of leaving next time.
Dubya, and particularly Laura, can't wait to leave the White House. It's 1000% different than how the Clintons feel about being president.
