(At Spanish Language Debate)
He just walked into the lion's den by saying we ought to both talk and trade with Castro's Cuba.
Loud boos followed.
He then said our policies propped up the likes of Fidel and Hugo Chavez.
More boos.
And then there was a third round as he finished his statement.
Needless to say, the Ron Paul post-debate party won't be at the Versailles over on Calle Ocho (though the ropa vieja and plantains are superb).
Not a panderer,,a LOON.
He’s just another anti-American/pro Al-Queda dipshit.
At least we can count on the fact that Fidel and his brother will die withing the next 10 or 15 years. We’re better off waiting them out than dealing with them.
Did the Ron Paul blimp pick him up and scoot him away to Inner Earth with David Icke?
Are you saying he changed his previous pandering view on immigration?
So going on Alex Jones isn't pandering to the truthers?
It’s not pandering when you’re cracked in the head enough to beleeeeve it your on self.
Where would we be today if Paul had been President during the Cuban Missile Crisis...
Oh yeah that’s right, they only wanted missiles to aim at us because we were in their part of the world trying to influence their society...
(/sarc)
Some of you folks forget that we trade with countries that we do not agree with in order to get them to change their ways. By being partners with them, you encourage capitalism.
Take China and Vietnam as an example.
China is spying on us, selling weapons to our enemies, poisoning us and building a military. I’m not sure what Vietnam is up to at this point.
According to the Paulies, what they do is none of our business until they attack us.
The guy I saw downtown spouting an incomprehensible soliloquy wasn’t pandering either. He was just looney.
We’ve had stiff economic sanctions against Cuba in place for decades. Castro is still in power.
We didn’t have such sanctions against, for example, the Communist regimes of Eastern Europe. Those regimes fell.
On the historical record, I’d have to say that the policy of economic sanctions against Castro hasn’t worked. It just gives him an excuse for any economic problems that he can’t otherwise explain away. Nothing solidifies popular support for a national leader better than an external threat, and we’ve conveniently provided that for him. It might be time for us to try something else.
Considering the fact that the Chicoms already have the Panama canal and will be getting the port we use in Equador (not to mention Long Beach) I’m sure Paul would be more than happy to give them the gift of Guantanamo bay.
I don’t know about pandering but I just got spammed by this ronpaul myspace site: http://www.myspace.com/barbisatin. This site’s “friends” are apparently a collection of transvestites and Jew-haters for Ron Paul.
Neville Chamberlain anyone?
Well your not alone. After Jackie Mason criticised Paul on his youtube blog (not about Israel), he has been hit with neo-nazi propanda.

You are so right. The Spanish have invested billions in hotels in Cuba. The Castro government uses this as leverage against the Spanish; if the Spanish dare criticize Cuba too much, he would not hesitate to seize it back. Thus the reluctance of the Spanish government to criticize Cuba. And with all this trade going on between Spain and Cuba, the Castro government still has no problem insulting the Spanish government whenever it pleases.
