‘Morning AZ, how’re you doing this evening? (LOL...confusing)
To: Kathy in Alaska
Yeah, frozen right now this morning but will thaw and get messy later. They pulled the snow forecast for today, naturally.
Checked Kiev's forecast, they're getting snow for the next few days. Come January, I'll be building snowmen. Woohoo!
To: TASMANIANRED
How is your day/evening going, Taz? Besides needing to build an ark. I’m gonna have to see where to order gopherwood.

This Day in U.S. Military History December 10
1941: HM Ships Repulse and Prince of Wales sunk
The sinking of these powerful warships by Japanese torpedo bombers off Malaya came as a shock to those who had under-estimated Japan's military ability and had relied on the imagined impregnable Singapore naval base. The sinkings heralded the significance of air power in the Pacific war.

I was privileged to be part of a KC-10 crew that flew in to an air show in 1987 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Berlin Airlift. This was when the Berlin wall and iron curtain were still up and deadly. The bell of the ball was the C-5A, because of its capability to carry so much cargo (we always referred to it as hauling trash), but they also liked the capability of the KC-10 to carry trash too. I will never forget going to Checkpoint Charlie in the American zone of Berlin. It was a very sobering experience. I cant imagine the dangers to weather, Soviet aviation threats, and lack of proper crew rest the men who flew these missions to save Berlin from falling to Communism.
