Actually police aren't sure if she shot him or if he shot himself.
Which would you prefer?
According to an eye witness VietNam vet, there ands, if’s, or buts: SHE KILLED him.

Authorities say 18-year-old Stephanie Works and 16-year-old Rachael Works died from their injuries after a gunman opened fire outside New Life Church on Sunday.
Larry Bourbonnais, a combat-tested Vietnam veteran, said it was the bravest thing he’s ever seen.
Bourbonnais, who was among those shot by a gunman Sunday at New Life Church, watched as a security guard, a woman later identified as Jeanne Assam, calmly returned fire and killed the shooter.

“She returned fire and just kept walking toward the gunman pressing off round after round.”
This doesn’t seem really debatable.
It seems pretty obvious that a brave American took out a terrorist. Thank God for her.
She is a “Let’s Roll”, version 2.
I think we can be fairly certain that she was the one who ended the assault — especially after she fired close to a dozen rounds at him... The police will obviously wait for forensics to match the bullets in his body. My question is why are you questioning something that every witness has attested to thus far?
I thought the VN vet who grabbed the shooter’s gun after he was down said it had jammed.
Whatever. Deconstructing is always fun. But not always accurate.
