COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — At least four people were shot outside of a Colorado Springs church on Sunday, but it was not immediately known whether the shootings were related to an earlier shooting about 70 miles away, authorities said.
Thus, "This gun is jammed" becomes reported 'fact'.
I don’t know what to make of it. Maybe someone (Vietnam Vet?) shot the creep with his own gun? Finished him off that way?

Very strange, this, imho.
That’s a possiblity, too....accidentally shot himself while trying to clear the gun.
I think we’d have heard from two eyewitnesses (Assam and the Vietnam Vet) an obvious intentional self-inflicted shot.

Fog of war (essentially). This assumes the guy is on tape saying this; I've only heard what he said second-hand.
When your adrenaline is up, and you're trying to remember things that happened in seconds, the wiring can get crossed. A perfect example is the shooting at the Omaha mall recently. The first reports (from eyewitnesses) had the shooter sporting a military-style haircut. You get the stills from the actual surveillance tapes, however, and that's not even close to accurate. People's memories of high-stress situations, even right after the fact, are notoriously prone to inaccuracy.
I wonder if they somehow were out of line-of-sight of him for a few seconds before going over to him when Bourbonnais told Assam to take a head shot to finish him off and she said “no, he looks dead already”.
But then, they would’ve heard any shots he might have fired, even if muffled by his body.

That’s what Marcus said...that’s why he wrote the book. Too much made up stuff...he said none of it was true. He wanted to set the record straight. No different today...they continue with their lies...

I really hadn’t thought that possible, but obviously it was.
After all the bits and pieces are put together she (and the vet) were responsible for stopping this guy. I think we ought to give him some credit too. His heckling probably helped keep this guy off aim.
