I am not boycotting any election. I am voting in the 2008 election and will vote a straight GOP ticket except for the Presidency if Rudy, Mike, or John get the GOP nomination. I am not washing my hands, just not willing to be an accomplice in the destruction of this country. In the meantime, I will be working hard to see that Rudy, Mike, and John don't get the nomination.
Until youve done everything you can to get your candidate elected you dont have the right to boycot. Millions have died for that right and you throw it in the trash.
I am not boycotting. I will be voting. And I am well aware of how precious our right to vote is, which is why I vote in every election, even when stationed overseas. I would like to think that my 36 years of public service, including a year in Vietnam and another 8 months off the coast, helped defend and preserve those rights.
You and I probably back the same candidates, Mitt or Fred I assume, but it'll be easier to change what we don't like from within the system rather than outside of it. Why do you think Ron Paul became a "Republican"?
We have voices now, like never before. I cite Harriet Miers, and Spitzer's illegal license scam, and NBC's Freedom Watch ad decision which was immediately reversed when they heard what we thought.
Then you should know the S Vietnamese who would love the opportunity to vote. Rather, since the candidate may not march lockstep w/you, you trash your vote.
Why not be honest and vote for Harpy since that is what you’re really doing. If you want us Republicans to suffer for not voting for your candidate.
If I don’t like Tancredo and he gets the nomination, shouldn’t I not vote for him since my candidate isn’t on the ballot??
Pray for W and Our Troops
So, if Hillary wins by one vote - having her as POTUS versus Rudy, Mike or John serves you well?
