Larry Kudlow interviewed Huckabee last Friday, and then discussed the interview with a panel of guests. Kudlow also made his regular Friday appearance on Hugh Hewitt’s show.

Conclusion: Huckabee is not a conservative, he is a populist and many of his views are compatible with Dem policy.

No, you will not see a Huckabee-McCain or McCain-Huckabee ticket.

Neither guy’s ego will allow him to play 2nd fiddle to the other.

Morning, rodguy911 and everyone. Thanks AB and congrats to last weeks winners for their posts.

I will get the munchies out this morning and watch the fun.

I thought Romney’s speech on religion was great and very misreported or interpreted by most everyone with a dog in the fight. Like Rush, I thought it was fantastic and well timed. It amazes me nobody seems to think it’s important to ask religious questions to other candidates in either party. Although I’m sure Hillary would say she’s very religious (wink-wink) and the media would buy it.

I’m saying that in December of 2004 Gov Dean was set to win Iowa, and he actually came in third.

We do not have a clear picture of what the people who will actually show up at the caucuses on Jan 3 will do, just by relying on polls.

SUNDAY TALK SHOW RATINGS ANALYSIS

Nielsen Media Research ratings composite for Sunday, December 2, 2007
PROGRAM
VIEWERS
CHG
NBC MEET THE PRESS
 4,390,000
 +338,000
CBS FACE THE NATION
 2,562,000
 +206,000
ABC THIS WEEK
 2,905,000
 +250,000
FOX NEWS SUNDAY
 2,015,000
 -241,000
CNN LATE EDITION
   476,000
 -101,000
All in all, last week's batch of numbers was a decidedly "up" week for the Sunday shows, which means it's probably a blip on the Nielsen measuring system and will likely return down again for this week's shows. Meet the Press continues a completely inexplicable rally and has risen over a million viewers in a month and a half. Face the Nation and This Week both saw significant gains as well. The big loser this week is Fox News Sunday, who lost about 10% of its audience after the "Fred bump" last week. Given that this is an "up week" and that the MSM claims Fred is losing ground, I have reason to believe given the performance on Fox, that they're incorrect.
Data derived from Nielsen Media Research ratings for live broadcasts as publicized by numerous Web resources. Numbers for Fox News Sunday and Meet the Press include numbers from prime time replays on Fox News Channel and MSNBC, respectively. All numbers (c)2007 Nielsen Media Research.

Few surprises there but its always good to expose the DBM at what they do best—try and destroy us and prop up the indefensible.

As recently as 30 (and even 20) years ago Huckabee would’ve been the perfect southern Democrat.

Big government anti-abortion nanny staters.

Precisely, and it is a shame that too many “middle” Americans are now looking to nanny government to take care of every need.

It bodes very poorly for a conservative future in the USA.

I think people underestimate the power of the Pro Life movement in Huckabee's surge.

I think Huckabee is surging simply because he is the only one the Pro Lifers trust. There seems to be a three way civil war going on here in the Republican Party. The Republican Establishment vrs the Libertarian-Small Govt Conservatrives vrs the Social Conservatives.

Both the Small Govt crowd and the Establishment have taken the Social Conservatives for granted. I think they are about to get a really big surprise about just how much weight the "value voters" can add to a candidate's campaign. It going to get really ugly here for us. None of the sides involved here have any notion on how to compromise with the others.

Here 's this sunday's Media Nuggets

###### AP's terrorist-cameraman, -> Bilal Hussein goes to Iraqi judiciary system.

###### Fox Entertainment Group aquires Beliefnet. Beliefnet, the largest online faith and spirituality destination, will become part of Fox Digital Media.

###### Unworthy News for MSM! -> War is twice as popular as Congress.

###### Deep Job Cuts @ San Diego Union-Tribune -> Circulation has sharply declined echoing a nationwide trend.

###### The Real "W" -> Glenn Beck's off-the-record meeting with W. Beck left the White House stunned and awestruck with his sense of Bush's command of the situation. "He is clear and focused, and there are no hems and haws. I would not want to sit across the table from him as an enemy. He said a few things that were breathtaking, and my immediate response was, 'Why are you not saying this?' and he explained. I can't quote him. All I can say is that he has Abraham Lincoln-honorable reasons ... he has chosen not to say certain things. But (the Iraq war) is going much better than people think."

###### Treason, Plagiarism and Wash.Post! -> Dana Priest in particular.

###### Rush, Clear Channel & Romney! -> Bain Capital to aquire Clear Channel! (Romney is the founder of Bain Capital).

###### McClatchy, Scripps Predict '08 Sales Decline -> they cite housing slump as reason, R E A L L Y.

###### Under-Reported / UnReported by MSM -> democrat governor in real estate scandal & Ex-Broward County Sherrif (D) sent to Prison.

###### Matthew Dowd became Maureen Dowd, so now he is also ABC News CON-tributor.

###### AP(!): Democrats Cry Uncle on Taxes, Spending. Cracks are emerging in congressional Democrats' solidarity, as frustrated lawmakers concede their majority status is not enough to overcome Republican resistance on taxes, spending, Iraq and a host of other issues.

###### Another Hllary-Plant -> Sneaks Under MSM Radar! And there 's one (from John Podesta's CAP) on Brit Hume's show too thro' Kathryn Harridge as Iran analyst.

F W I W .........

*** Politico's Jim Vandehei's wife Hanna Vandehei was a former Tom Delay staffer.

*** AP's Nedra Pickler recently got married in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico to Eric Conner, Fox News cameraman.

*** Rove Visits Duke -> Some students in shock, others in awe.

*** Combat Medic -> Miss Utah Jill Stevens. There will be one military hero at the 2008 Miss America Pageant in January.

Huckabee went further and want to close Guantanamo.

Huckabee wants more dialog with Iran as well... this gomer is nothing but a pro-life, Jimmy Carter.

The Jawa weighs in on Huckabee...

In all of this, I always come back to the fact that we're preparing to hire the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces. Where the rubber meets the road and push comes to shove, the Commander-in-Chief is called upon to serve, quite frankly, as Chief Bringer of Death to America's Enemies. As I've learned more about Mike Huckabee, I've become increasingly convinced that this man, like Jhimmi Carter and B.J. Clinton before him, just doesn't appear to have the stomach for the less polite aspects of this particular job.

This is pretty much my take on Huckabee.

Thanks anita. Did you see this jewel? This was on page A-4 of the Austin paper today. I didn't see it posted on FR today yet.

From the article:

For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

Lawmakers Briefed on Waterboarding in 2002

THe MSM will elevate then delight in destroying Huck thus blackening the collective eyes of the pubs. Hill would love to take on Huck. As she talks of her great religious faith, he will try to outdo her and come across as a loon.
