I think the msm is playing up the Huckster as a candidate that hillary could possibly beat, truth is she can't beat any of our guys since her negs are so high.
McCain is going no where. He many have a momentary blip in the polls but he Rinoed out long ago.
I dearly think the world of Tancreado but he was and has always been seen as a single issue guy. That never wins elections or inpsires huge numbers.
As for Duncan Hunter I wish I knew why he was not higher in the polls, I really don't see him as a single issue candidate but a true contender.
My guess is name recog and continually being ignored by the DBM has taken its toll on an other wise terrific candidate.
As Kabar says it's a mistake to ignore the 100 ton elephant in the room. The illegal issues will not go away and will surface before Nov. 08 in a big way I predict.

Exactly NN—this is an issue that will not go away and is too big to be swept under the proverbial DBM rug, which now has many bumps in the carpet.

Thanks for the information. The sad fact is that no one really knows how many are here.
The 2005 Bear-Stearns Report estimated 20 million. The question that needs to be asked of the pro-amnesty types is, "How can you make good public policy without reliable data?" In 1986 the USG estimated that one milliion would apply for amnesty. The number turned out to be 3 million. Imagine if the USG's estimate of 12 to 13 million illegals turns out to be closer to your 38 million.

I mean you have McCain at around 20% in some polls! If there were 1 canidate I thought sure was DOA with Conservatives it was McCain!Especially considering that of all the candidates running as Democrats or Republicans, only one had been proven to be corrupt: John "Keating 5" McCain.

The Bear Stearns estimate you cite is near 3 years old by now,it may tend to be even more conservative than that of Walsh.
Hard to argue with you that we really do not know true numbers, but if I see a DBM estimate that constantly hoovers between 12-20 million and I also see a well documented estimate that hoovers around 38 million I guess I am more inclined to go with the 38. But you are correct we really don't know.

Hi Chuck, made some mince pies on Friday and they were gone by this morning.Hi Snugs. I've been watching your cooking and pastry posts for quite some time; as well as reading all your other insightful postings.
I cannot imagine anything you "dish up" lasting for any length of time.

None the less...to abstain from the Pres. vote weakens the Republican and strenghtens or elects the lib....if enough are misguided similarly.
You and I probably back the same candidates, Mitt or Fred I assume, but it'll be easier to change what we don't like from within the system rather than outside of it. Why do you think Ron Paul became a "Republican"?
We have voices now, like never before. I cite Harriet Miers, and Spitzer's illegal license scam, and NBC's Freedom Watch ad decision which was immediately reversed when they heard what we thought.

This was an interesting tid bit on CNN today.
One panalest (whose name escapes me)said that what needs to be answered is why is the version that was released to the media DIFFERENT from the one the President received; specifically the first sentence.
First I heard of that, but certainly worth investigating.
