DES MOINES – With Oprah Winfrey headed here on Saturday to campaign for Senator Barack Obama, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton brought a surprise guest of her own: Chelsea Clinton.
It was Ms. Clinton’s debut on the presidential campaign trail, smiling broadly as she walked into Palmer’s Deli a few steps behind her mother for a breakfast photo opportunity. She shed her coat and immediately began shaking hands and mingling with Iowa supporters who were seated among the diners.
“Chelsea, delighted to meet you,” said Julia Martinusen, 49, who signed up as a Clinton supporter in recent weeks. “I was just wondering where you’d been.”
“I’m happy to be here,” Ms. Clinton replied.
The Clinton family was fully deployed on Saturday, with former President Bill Clinton campaigning in South Carolina and the rest of the family in Iowa. The senator’s mother, Dorothy Rodham, also made her first appearance, taking a seat here at the crowded restaurant as her daughter and granddaughter shook hands and posed for pictures before joining her for breakfast.

Do the Clintons really think their daughter has the star power of the #1 talk show host in the world? Guess they inhaled this time.
I think their next step is caroline kennedy.
If they can prove Chelsea is the spawn of WJC, they may have a point in trotting her out.
What a dud. Looks like Hillary is really desperate, Iowa may be lost if Chelsea is getting dragged into this.
Webb Hubbell would be proud of his daughter.
Interesting .. I thought Chelsea had to sign some sort of agreement when she was hired in NYC - stating she would not engage in public events - seeing as how her parents were always in the public’s eye.
I wonder what Hillary had to pay the daughter’s company to allow Chelsea to campaign for her mother ..??
Or .. what Hillary had to threaten them with if they didn’t allow Chelsea to join the campaign ..??
Nah, they’ve co-opted the Senate. I heard on Rush yesterday that Dingy Harry Reid announced he might schedule a vote for today, so as to screw up the O-squared love fest.
I see PIAPS is living up to her name.
Chelsea Clinton had some serious plastic surgery done.
No way she has 23 chromosomes from PIAPS and look like that.
I’m for putting money where the mouth is. It behooves us to put this speculation to an end. Funds must be collected, detectives hired, DNA collected for all parties includind Dannie Williams and his mother.
It must be done before Bill dies which might not be that far off. His health is not what it once was.

Of course Hillary is in trouble. She doesn’t handle crises well. She has none of the smarmy charm that BJ had while in office, and ever fewer people will buy her feeble attempts to garner attention while launching attacks on her opponents.
Yeah! And Bubba could have a quick tryst with her, the Hilderbeast can 'find out' about it and then get the victim sympathy vote.
Ah, yes, Red Queen, bring out the members of your dysfunctional family to show America!
It does like she’s at least had the add-a-chin-to-me surgery done.
Not that she wasn’t attractive before, but she looks better now.
