NAFTA Superhighway Mid Continental Corridor is under way
JOE HUGELIN ^ | 08 DECEMBER 2007 | THE CANADIAN

Posted on 12/08/2007 10:21:28 AM PST by Extremely Extreme Extremist

Two provinces, Manitoba through its Speech from the Throne, and Alberta, through a map of NAFTA Trade Corridors have provided strong evidence that there are plans for a NAFTA Superhighway, or Mid-Continent Trade Corridor. President Bush and Prime Minister Harper dismissed this idea after the Montebello meeting as comparable to planning an "interplanetary" superhighway or a scare tactic whereby a "conspiracy" is laid out.

There is no conspiracy. Plans are going forward. This question is as yet unanswered: does what now recognized as reality stands alone or is part of a wider plan? The one Former Mexican President Fox spoke of a as "a new vision", first NAFTA, then integration through the Security and Prosperity Partnership.

The American Presidential candidates are discussing the existence of what is contained in the Manitoba Speech from the Throne and the Albertan North American Trade Corridors map. Americans concerned about their country losing sovereignty in a North American Union are circulating YouTubes contrasting the reality of the Speech, and Map, to the words of those denying the Superhighways' existence.

Though our political system differs, Canadians will do well to watch the influence of these contributions from Canada as Americans select their next president. Will the person selected be following the denial policy of President Bush or charting a different course?

Eisenhower led a motorized Army crosscountry trek through darkest America as he demonstrated the need for improved roads, which led to the Interstate system. His convoy made 6 mph in some stretches.

Perhaps he shouldn't have taken the Army crosscountry wasting tax dollars then. The market would have eventually created larger highway systems on its own as industry grew. But then I guess if the interstate highway system hadn't been built by the government we wouldn't have been able to prevent the invasion big government scaremongers predicted would come in their argument for more 'internal improvements' (i.e. the national highway system).

Oh wait that invasion didn't come did it? Hmmmmm....scare the public...public gets behind project...lobbyists for program get rich....nah that wouldn't happen. I trust our government. 'Specially if it's a Republican doing it to us....

Right! "'tis just a flesh wound."

Yup. Wonder how many band-aids it will take?

Incorrect on all counts. You may be seeking to spread disinformation or you may wish to brush up on the facts.

ha! No one will pay attention until this country’s on total life support.

It’s almost there now.

Oh, it’s just mass public ‘hysteria’ - right, Dog? Nothing to it - just a buncha made up facts.

I have been reading about this for over two years, now. I have friends in TX that are about to lose the home they just finished building. Good ol’ eminent domain.

Oh. I haven’t seen mention of the Canamex Corridor here - that will go from Mexico to Canada.

What sources do you recommend that I read?

Mr. Corsi is the author of several books, including “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry” (along with John O’Neill), “Black Gold Stranglehold: The Myth of Scarcity and the Politics of Oil” (along with Craig R. Smith), “Atomic Iran: How the Terrorist Regime Bought the Bomb and American Politicians,” and most recently, “Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America’s Borders.” He will soon author a book on the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America and the prospect of the forthcoming North American Union.

“And doesn’t all the blame for these highways really belong on President Eisenhower?”

That is just nuts.

Do you blame him for global warming and the failure to drill ANWR too? That would make equal sense, as in none.

Thanks for the recommendation to read Corsi.

He’s the biggest nutbag on the planet about this, and I’ve read plenty of his idiotic conspiracy rantings to know that he’s a reliable source for nothing.

I’m surprised World Nut Daily still publishes anything by him and their standards are quite low.

But I appreciate you providing me where you get your “facts.”

This country is becoming an international transportation hub of ethnic conclaves with nothing in common. Do you think that’s the vision the founding fathers had of this nation?

Where does it end?

It doesn't end. The future of open borders is being forced upon us.

Bush has make American citizenship all but pointless.

I made the mistake of going to department store yesterday, dealt with nothing but rude pushy foreigners speaking every language but English. I won't be going back...Ever.

Seriously, that’s how it’s always been in this country, although those enclaves have mostly assimilated after a generation or so.

We obviously need to help legal immigrants assimilate, and stop illegal immigration.

A moratorium on roads is kind of silly.

For many years I’ve made it a practice, if the gifts aren’t bought by October they’re not getting zip. I refuse to partake of this holiday madness. My daughter just told me she went to one of the 5 am super sales. I wouldn’t show up for that if they gave the stuff away. She said the line was around the building waiting to get in. Every thing about it is uncivilized. These sort of customs, like Christmas, were never meant to be so stressful. And yes, when you can’t understand people you live, work and shop around, that is stressful.

Ho, ho, ho.....and you’re made to feel like a heathen if you say Merry Christmas! You sure don’t see it or hear it in the stores, I hear.

” A moratorium on roads is kind of silly.”

Agreed. Who said anything about a moratorium on roads? Wasn’t me, was it you? Why is it ALWAYS one extreme or the other?

The 'why' presumes purpose.

This whole thread is kind of about stopping a road, and not Christmas shopping.
