WASHINGTON — NBC has nixed holiday advertisements meant to thank troops for serving overseas in opposition to the inclusion of a non-profit's Web address.
The ads, paid for by the non-profit Freedom's Watch, are a simple thank you, the group says, with people shown paying gratitude to members of the military and the final frame showing the group's Web address, www.freedomswatch.org.
Click here and here to view the ads that NBC won't air.

I don’t understand. What do homosexuals have against a Web address in a paid advertisement?

Let’s see..... During the ‘green week’ at NBC/CNBC/MSNBC/Bravo/Etc/Etc, we saw ad after ad and PSA after PSA about how we should be guilty about global warming. And I seem to recall that the envirowacko groups which providing the sourcing for all these ‘facts’ (like the one about the mercury-lined compact light bulbs saving us X amount of carbon) had web addresses on TV. In fact, NBC was actively directing people to the web so we could be further indoctrinated by the green Nazis at NBC.com as well as the websites of the Kennedy backed groups and other taxpayer funded umbrella groups fronting for Greenpeace and the Sierra Club.
Maybe global warming is not a ‘political issue’ while being grateful to the troops is. I’m okay with that mostly. I would just like to get an open declaration from both sides that thanking the troops is considered a partisan activity. And then we can finally kill off this canard that the democrat party actually supports the troops. When they admit that their 'support' of the troops is really just lip service, I'll drop my objections about NBC acting as a partisan against our troops.

However, he said, the link to the website violates their policy on controversial issue advertising because it encourages political action and other activities. He said the policy is applied consistently across the board and this group was not targeted in any way. As Laura Ingraham would say "duck of the day." What about all the political 501k's ads with web sites on them?

When that crap was mentioned today I went to Wally World and bought a new mouse to replace my old GE mouse.
I don’t watch NBC at all and will not from this moment on buy or have anything in my house with the GE brand.

NBC is just another media outlet for the DNC. We know that. What’s strange is that GE would allow this to continue.
From now on, all my lightbulbs will be GTE or some off brand.
It’s a small thing but it’s a start. You too can boycott GE.

I’ve taken A&E off my favorites list, due to their over-reaction and firing of Dog the Bounty Hunter. Do I have to take NBC stations off my list?

Surprised?
Anybody?
Me neither.

I am surprised. The MSM has about 15% approval rating. The US military has about 80% approval rating. Military families have about 95% approval ratings. These ads are about thanking the troops and thanking the military families. They are completely non-political. NBC and GE are going to take a big hit on this. GE is a big defense contractor. GE is also a scummy, manipulative, greedy corporation, who is not above pushing greenie weenie propaganda, to get the Federal government to impose more environmental regulations, because they'll sell more of their technology thru the force of government.
The GE board of directors better start taking some control here, or GE's name is going to be Mudd.
