Sparky and I broke off a little early and wandered down to the Police Station and filed a complaint. We explained to the desk Sergent that we were veterans and why we were there, got a little smile of approval out of that one.

After the trauma, the stress, and because I am old and needed a tonic, we repaired to the Draught Pub for libations.

The Gold Star on the Forehead goes to Sparky for keeping his cool in TRUE FReeper fashion.

I have some rather bad pics, I will post, I couldn't get Hitlery's HQ, camera bad, I will do a proforma in the AM.

Typical behavior. The only threat I've ever received in my adult life (other than a moron I put in his place during my Air Foce enlistment) was from a Democrat operative calling me anonymously on the phone.

I told him if he tried to make good on his threat he'd need a coroner when I was done with him. I never got another call...

Without description, I’d be willing to bet that I know who the “new dude” with the veterans for peace flag is. (he from two towns over, a one time carpenter, long time State Social Services administrator.) I once was FReeping by myself on one of the 3 corners not occupied by the leftists. I had left the safety of the FReepers on our regular corner. I brought 6 double sided signs with me,(trading signs occasionally), and some leftists snuck up on my and stole half my signs. It was a drive by, with one of them grabbing the signs and diving into a pickup truck that stopped briefly. LOL!

I came back the next week with even more signs, and a camera. They were not amused when I started taking photos of them just in case they tried it again.

Absolutely on the "no lone FReep" rule. I might have been a skeptic at one point, but I'm a believer now.

Yes, the "gentleman" in question was not one of the more stellar upstanding members of Rochester society, such as it is. I attributed his belligerance to that typically provided by liquid courage. Fortunately, I was not similarly empowered, so when said product of the liberal mindset decided he wanted to practice the "open-minded tolerance" of the typical leftist by getting <1' from my face, calling me "coward", "faggot", threatening to knock me on my ass, etc., rather than raise my voice I simply decided to stand my ground and as calmly as I could ask him to move along.

It took him a few requests, but he got the message. I'm not one to brag (outside a poker table after a few pops, anyway) but I do think I handled myself fairly well. Now, had he taken a shot at me, I would have of course defended myself, but I was of course hoping it wouldn't come to that and that our young DU reject would sober up just long enough to realize that his plan was not a wise one.

I guess if I'm annoyed by anything it's the peacenik commies who did nothing to discourage his behavior and at one point seemed to get a neat little kick out of the whole situation. Ah, hypocrisy once again raises its ugly head.

Oh, and Bill--the bartender is married, damn the bad luck. I also found out our little miscreant had to get 86'd out of there as well. He was on a real roll last night, so it would seem. At least the cops showed up there.
