Judith Nathan got security earlier

Judith Nathan got taxpayer-funded chauffeur services from the NYPD earlier than previously disclosed - even before her affair with then-Mayor Rudy Giuliani was revealed, witnesses and sources tell the Daily News.

"It went on for months before the affair was public," said Lee Degenstein, 52, a retired Smith Barney vice president who formerly lived at 200 E. 94th St., Nathan's old building.

"It was going on longer than anybody thought," added Degenstein, who, along with others in the neighborhood, said they often saw Nathan hopping into unmarked NYPD cars in early 2000, before the affair was revealed that May.

Looks like Rudy was using the NYPD as a valet service for his mistress, and current wife, while he was still married to his old wife. This is serious stuff that could cause many of us, who may have been inclined to give him a pass on other things because of his perceived ability to be an effective campaigner against the Witch, to reconsider our possible support for him. We can all rest well assured that the Witch knows all about this and other things, which will be devastatingly used against Rudy in the campaign.

Rudy had a handle on the “perks of power” and used them just as his buddy Bernie Kerik did. I didn’t need any more reasons to NOT vote for Rudy personally, though.

If things of this magnitude would cause you to drop support for ANY candidate, then you must seriously ask yourself if you are intellectually and practically qualified to vote.

LOL, Conservatives who supported RG for CIC were purged long ago. (his speeches, town hall forums, policy writings and proposals, info/responses on NY liberal media reports must be found elsewhere)

At FR he is gay, bi, cross-dresser transvestite, a pedophile, a mobster, a criminal, corrupt, works for terrorists, kills firefighters and babies, is planning to take our guns away, has hundreds of girlfriends........oh, and he and his wife spend every nite strangling puppies in their basement!

So now we will have Huck running against the UnAmerican Democrat Party.

The law enforcement source said that Nathan eventually had as many as seven detectives assigned to her, and that like any protected person, they took her wherever she wanted to go. "Whether it was to take her shopping or business - you can't say 'We are not going there,'" the source said. "[If you did] you'd be walking a foot post in the seven-five [Brooklyn's 75th Precinct] somewhere."

1) Looks like the police union ("law enforcement source") is doing its bit for their junior senator .

2) The "seven-five" is the Siberia of police assignments, and as glamourous as liverwurst. This kind of language is part-and-parcel of the police union lexicon.

3) I recall the Arkansas troopers providing lots of extra-curricular services for Her husband, "in the day".

4) I suspect the Rudy haters will do better if they concentrate on his (lack of) conservative credentials.

First and foremost, we’re looking for the Pubbie who’s most likely to be able to defeat the Witch. From the way the Clintons have run all of their prior campaigns, including the ‘06 Congressional campaign, we know they will attack the ‘08 Pubbie candidate from all directions, including from the right and including attacks on his character. Sleazy tales like this that show apparent diversion of public funds to provide a valet service for Rudy’s paramour while he was still married to another woman are going very seriously to diminish his appeal both to religious people and people who believe in integrity in government. Religious people and those who genuinely believe in integrity in government are the very people we must have as part of a coalition to defeat the horribly corrupt Witch. They’re the ones this kind of story turns off, diminishing our chances of winning in ‘08 with Rudy.

If you don’t believe this is important, just look how much harm the far less serious Mark Foley “scandal” did to our ‘06 Congressional campaign. Now is the time to vet our candidates and smoke out stuff like this.

Rudy illustrates that he will willingly abuse the public trust and the public dime.

That tells me he is unfit to be President.

I respecfully disagree. It gives us a peek into his thinking and thought processes. He willingly takes advantage of taxpayers. I wouldn't fire the employee who regularly stealls office supplies, but everyone doesn't do it and I think higher of the people who don't.

A thought came to mind this morning. We have Bubba to thank for Rudy’s assumption that he is qualified to run for pres.

His comeback for any criticism from the Hillary camp on his playing fast and loose with his morals and the public purse could be.. "well, it was ok for the Clintons to do it, so why should I be called unfit for office".

After all, isn’t extra-marital sex and stealing from the public purse the “way it goes” these days”?

The problen with the Mark Foley scandal was not the scandal but how it was handled at top levels of House leadership.

You're right, it's fine to be unethical and immoral and it definately should not be a litmmus test for the highest office in the land, that would be unfair.

Bingo.

This isn't really about his affair, it's about his personal use of city resouces (and laundering the money to hide it).

Alan Hevesi was prosecuted and forced to resign for the same crime. Why does Rudy get a pass?

Rootybots pose for a group picture.

The braindead botniks see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil.

The botniks believe all city budgets underwrite
the Mayor satisfying his sexual urges with a bimbo.
