The thing is is was most likely a good arrest, but the officer in choosing to violate the rights of the defendant, then lie in court, blew it. Not only is this case shot, every case this guy ever testified in is at risk. If the convicted people have the money, their lawyers can most likely get them a new trial or an outright release.
